Nice info. Vibhor & Zal D, Ingenio should be ready for a launch by now, M&M had pulled up vendors for better quality materials some time back. This vehicle has a lot of  common parts shared with the Scorpio.

@Vibhor: Looks narrow and tall: taller than the Santro. Hope it's not averse to cornering like the Maruti Omni.

@Zal D: hope you got the powerplant right: a 2.6 petrol would never make it, it would sure be a guzzler; I think it must be a diesel.

There is already a thread by me "

Mahindra Ingenio Spied in Mumbai" with two pictures of Ingenios moving near the Haji Ali junction.I hope these can be merged by FRG.

The technical specifications posted by Zal D are quite informative. But two facts that shock me are the 2600cc petrol CRDe engine ( or is it a diesel  2600cc )and the front grille there again that may get Chrysler fuming again!  smiley18.gif

Hey Guys...

Any idea when these pics were clicked.

This could not be the Ingenio (the MM's answer for the Innova)

Its the next Gen Scorpio in case this car is from MM.

Check out

rear bumper,

solid roof rails (like a high end SUV),

high ground clearance,

high stance,

too much clearance between wheel and arch,

muscular body lines (intentionally covered by the cover),

rear door has arrangement to accomodate a spare wheel (covered),

rear door is hinged on the right to open side ways...

What say guys???

@Deepakds, no this is not the next gen Scorpio, but Ingenio for sure.

Mahindra would run the Scorpio for long time to come with minor tweaks & facelifts as the vehicle is relatively new according to Mahindra's standards.
