Used a leather cleaning treatment kit ( has a bunch of components) on one such DIY job.( left over from a sofa that we got refurbished )

Guided by the thinking : premium quality wax better than oil based products that would attract dirt more

Have come across dash board aerosol spays , they are quick fixes but dont last long and are dirt attracting magnets.

Today was the last day of the Autocar performance show in Mumbai. I could manage to enter the premises at 7 pm so I had approximately 1 hr to go through the whole show. But the best part was in the end when all cars were moving out and they all were revving thus pumping the adrenaline in the spectators, boys were video shooting the cars.

After the introduction of PVC pipes the cutting of threads with Die has become thing of the past. Yesterday in our building water tanks were cleaned so I, too, placed isolating valves in the shower and flushing lines, it took me not more than 15 minutes to cut the pipes and apply the glue on the 1/2" pvc connections. to be on the safer side, I had to give half an hour to cure(only 1 minute is required).

In case you guys go for ball valve renewal always choose  brass spindle and brass body.

@sachins nothing special about to what, DIY guys do. It gives you satisfaction and sense of surety that things will work.

It costs ₹8000, just to get a copper(Cu) elbow brazed on a Cu pipeline, that's like 40 times the actual cost of Cu elbow+butane canister+gas torch. You have to live with the poor quality of workmanship of the plumber. YouTube gives all the AV(audiovisual)procedures. Word of precaution: store flammable canisters in open spaces, work in dry open area, wear eye protection, don't work alone and have situational awareness.

Vikky

You recently visited Australia, I am myself planning a holiday there shortly

Give me some flight advice , the duration of the same is the reason I was postponing it for all this while but as the lease is up for renewal I will have to be there in the next few months

Also are Forex Cards the best way to transact there, suggest Forex Cards from Indian banks that work best , I can also arrange something from the COMMBANK in Mumbai if that's a better option

Also , do these prepaid mobile SIM cards that you get from Matrix , Clay work well , or do I just get international roaming

Kindly share as much info as you can

I am asking you because last year also you helped me with the remittance and your recent trip makes you the perfect candidate once again

Thank you in advance

My fridge’s one of the plastic roller had broken, this job was long pending. As soon as I got up today, I tilted the fridge to sides and took the load of the fridge over the stacks of old books as wood pieces are hard to get. Removed the bottom tray, same tray which forms the foundation of the compressor, removed both the nylon rollers. Bought the nylon rod and got it machined to the correct dimension. Assembled it back with the assistance of my son, who had returned from rom his college. The whole excercise took total eight hours but work Well Done! Also replaced compressor’s star locking washers with the circlips.

Pidilite’s motomax 2k Rubbing compound, as we all know fine scratches are unavoidable near the door knob or on the doors or bumpers etc. Today after cleaning the car I applied the above cream and happy with the results, fine scratches just disappear and blend in the base colour. Also gives shine to the applied surface. It is more of cream.
