here comes the review of FZ16 by dipendra smiley32.gif,

Review is really good & i was waiting for this kind of detailed review.....

1. my main concern was power - which is really good as per the review

2. mileage is also not bad - 38-40(city condition) - but when compared with other 150cc's mileage is lil bit low.

So dipendra - how do u rate the bike from 0-10 in all aspects!!!

dipendra, thnx  for the wonderful review. I guess FZ has lived upto the expectations but as dipendra mentioned, after sales service needs to be improved if they want to retain thier customers and bring in new customers. and can we cross 70kmph before 1000kms? bcoz as far as i know we are not supposed 2 cross 50kmph before 1000kms

hey dipendra.

   few questions

 1. how does the exhaust note sound??? loud like RTRsmiley32.gif or smooth  like hunksmiley1.gif??

2. how's horn..single horn or double like pulsar.

3.is the pick up better than pulsar180???easy wheel spins with little twist of throttelsmiley2.gif??

4.is there foot rest in the saree guard??cause the FZ i saw in showroom had no integrated footrest in saree guard apart from the seperate rear footrests...

5.how is the digital rev counter??does it respond fast with every slight throttle twist??smiley2.gif

6.how smooth(& vibration) is the engine??like unicorn? or like hunk??or like RTR??

reply soon dudesmiley33.gif

Today i test rode the beast. It is fantastic though i'm not satisfied with its power. It was smooth and vibes free. It's large handle bar is a boon in traffic. It handled pretty well. Its brakes are sharp and has good stopping power. And yes

tappet , the exhaust note was like RTR(loud), and the horn is bad, you can do well, without using it. The digital rev counter though no quick responses like analog(i feel), it does the job well. The suspension was stiff.

buddy! did u observe these things!!!!

1. Length of the bike is not much. it looks as if a rx100 has been modified by specialists!!

2. There is a lot of gap between the rod (which connects handle - front wheel) & fuel tank(when seen from sides) & this gap looks really ugly.

i hav to say this..YAMAHA HAS THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!

here is how my story goes.i paid 1500k for booking my FZ on 26sept... eventhough the showroom guy told 500Rs is enough for booking..i was given a priority no.49 ..after postponding the delivery date twice, i was told that i wil get my FZ on 25oct..i went to the showroom on 25..there were 6 customers for buying different products..But..there was only 1 sales man in the entire showroom..after waiting for almost an hour, he came to me..i said i hav come to take my FZ..he asked me whether i hav already paid the full amount for the bike..i said no, but i hav the cash with me right now..then he says that if i pay the full amount now i wil get my FZ after 1 week. and today the delivery is for those who hav already paid the full cash....now i really got pissed off !!...then i asked him, why u did not tell me that i hav to pay the entire amount in advance???..then he said that he told everybody..then he says that i hav paid only 1500 as advance so the priority goes to those who hav paid 5000Rs n more..but again i asked why u did not inform me about this during the time of booking??..he is speechless.then he says that only 40 bikes came and first 40 customers only got their bike..since im 49 i was slightly convinced. Now another customer comes, his priority no. is 31 n he booked his bike on sep22 by giving 5000Rs for booking..he asked for his bike..now the salesman asked him weather he has paid the full amount?..this customer says he was not informed to pay full amt in advance.. the conversation got heated up.

last month my frnds dad went to the same showroom to buy gladiator..no salesmen cared to attend him, he got so pissedoff he shouted at them and came off....

i payed my full amt and now waiting for one more f***@@g  week..YAMAHA's cuctomer service is s**t..

Hi frnds, yesterday I got a test ride on FZ and later booked the bike. This would be my 2nd bike after Unicorn. As i have been a great admirer of Uni's refinement, quality and handling so I was little suspicious regarding the power train of FZ and whether i would like it or not.Because as far as look and features are concerned FZ just blow away the competition.

First Engine: As far as refinement is concerned Uni is still best and i doubt it whether anybody will be able to eclipse it.But FZ is very good.I tried it in different gear and different rpm but it never coughed up. Vibration is also very low: more than Uni but far less than pulser.Pick up is very good and i was literally breezing past the traffic. But i never tested the limits. The exhaust note is good -- in musical terms: more bass than treble. But overall sound is slightly lower than pulser.

Handling: Due to heavy centralisation of mass the front feels very nimble. Also the handle bar is slightly low and almost straight. It reminded me of my bicycle in schooldays(Hercules RockSox). In city it is far better than Uni who feels heavier at front.I never sat on the pillion and cant comment abt it but riding is surprisingly plusher than Uni.The heavy front shock absorber  make u very comfortable. Its ergonomicscs is addictive I realy wanted to ride the as far as possible which i never felt in Uni.Also despite being nimble it felt planted also thanks to the heavy section rear tyre and thats where it scores over pulser. There were not many turn in the road so whether it is as good as Uni in the corner i have to wait and see.

One more thing all the talk about the tacho being not vigible is over aggegerated.I was driving at noon with sun blazing down but it i didnt have any problems.

I am realy getting forward to this bike which the dealer said would be delivered next monday.Count down is starting forme
