Plz refer the news in ET today;

http://economictimes.indiatimes.com/News/News_By_Industry/Auto/Automobiles/i20_launch_by_end-December/articleshow/3859212.cms

As per the news :--

Hyundai is planning to launch its five-door hatchback i20 by the year-end and will be priced in the Rs 5-5.5-lakh range.

Hyundai Motor India senior V-P Arvind Saxena also clarified that the company had no plans to launch a diesel variant of i20 as of now

that is good news!! but i guess it is being priced a little too high! I am waiting for i20 before buying my new car. Is it right idea to buy a brand new entry into market? Are there i-20 reviews from european markets?

Well as we are at the end of year only, i think within few days car should be launched then...And in the link of ET, its written that Hyundai i20 will come with 1.4Kappa engine...If it has around 95-100 Bhp engine than i think it will be good buy...But Hyundai is doing big mistake by not launching the CRDi from the very beginning...

If i20 is not as promising then the swift again wins hands down as the similar specced getz is 20k more and i20 will be atleast 20k+ than getz making almost 45k diff.

This is a reminder to all those who are posting multiple threads on the i20. When there is a thread that's been going on for a while, why do you have to create a new one? I have deleted all those threads. From now on, all posts on the i20 go here. This thread will be closed shortly once the drive thread is up.
