Ans (1) Sierra 1991 absolutely right

Ans (2)The right answer is the Tatamobile (launched in 1988)whose engine was implanted to the Sierra- the same one that powered the Sumo and Estate.

Ans (3) Telco/ Tata Motors never manufactured any petrol truck, not even for the Army, Navy or Air Force, where diesel powered vehicles were a taboo(cold start problems) initially, till TMB trucks were inducted in the defence services 1960's.Tata's first truck was the TMB 312 (diesel) launched on Oct 23, 1954. TMB was for Tata Mercedes Benz. This was followed by the 1210 series in 1969.

For Q3 its chevorlet.

Its the Big Brother, General Motors (owners of the Chevrolet brand too)which owns  stakes in Fiat and Suzuki. Thats why the 1.3 Fiat multijet is so easily a part of  the Swift. Some Suzuki models are marketed in the US under the GM proposed names- the Esteem was sold as the Geo Metro.

 Q 1 You're very near from the true answer. I asked what was the last Standard car's name and not the original British name.

 Q 2 there is always a Limited ,suffixed to the company's name in India so its SMPIL- Standard Motor Products of India Ltd

Yes VTEC guy  You are right - it was the Standard 2000,the last one by SMPIL. It was the first truly luxury car with power windows, central locking, a.c.,(Contessa and the Premier 118NE too had a.c. versions), tinted glass and other features. It cost Rs 210 K in 1986. Yes, as you say the Rover Montego was also a Rover, but it was assembled and marketed by Sipani Motors, Bangalore, the makers of the Dolphin and Sipani D1.

1) The current PM has a Jag. The queen drives a Bentley so i guess the PM can't get himself a Bentley or a Rolls...

2)It's manufactured by London Taxis International....make must be LTI TX4
