Ans 1 The official car for the British PM has been the Jaguar. romeo_ 159 You're  right when you say that it is the current PM's car. Jaguar was a state owned (British Govt) owned company since the early 1970's under the flagship British Leyland. It was sold to Ford when the losses mounted. The govt owned tag made it the govts favourite.

Ans 2. Yes the London Taxis name is right LTI TX 4.

LTI

launch the TX4 (news source The Cabby a London Taxi Cab Magazine)

LTI launched the new

TX4 back in November 2006. Powered by the 2.5 VM

engine with a 5 speed electronically controlled

automatic gearbox.

So far the new

model has been well received by the trade and Mann &

Overton London have taken an unprecedented number of

orders.

The TX4 has had its

problems the main one being the terrible squeal

coming from the front brakes but a fix seems to be

in the pipeline.

Again romeo-159

Ans 3. Yes all the cars made between 1905 -1914 (pre- WW I ) are Edwardian and those made before 1905 are called Veteran.

Thanks for the right answers

Yes romeo_159 the Q 1 answer is right . What about the other two?

I don't know about the 3rd one but for Q2, as far as my knowledge goes,

there isn't any one particular wood that Rolls uses. Customers can

choose the wood they want in their Rolls....  Correct me if i am

wrong.. :)
