Chevy To Launch Cruze in 2009

Recommended Posts

The Chevrolet Optra has been selling since 2003 with a minor

facelift here and there. The replacement for the Optra is the Chevrolet

Cruze and GM plan to launch it in 2009. The Chevy Cruze will take the

fight to the Honda Civic and Toyota Corolla in the D segment.

The Cruze will be  adapted to Indian roads when it will be launched

here. It will get 15 inch wheels and will get the same 2.0 liter diesel

engine which does duty in the currect Optra. The roomy cabin can

comfortably accommodate five adults. It offers rear passengers

exceptional space, with more leg, head and shoulder room than usually

found in this class. The petrol engine will be a all new 1.8 liter

variable valve timing unit which will produce around 130 horses.

Pricing will be competitive and expect it to undercut the Civic and

Corolla by a few thousands.

i think that its not even going to launch by 2009...i heard its for end 09 or start 2010...Yamaha wats the source ..this one is winner from GM for sure..

And yamaha mind you language i wasnt crying...dude you should abide by some rules...i have seen many members saying that the previous thread was for pics and now its for launch..just changing the heading is not everything, your contents are same..i appreciate your efforts but then you should continue in the existing threads or should ask mods..Ok if the car is launched and you make different thread is meaningful untill then all should continue in existing threads whether its launching or not..

CHEVY CRUE MAY BE DELAYED UNTIL 2011!!!!!

One of GM's most promising future models -some say maybe even more promising than the all-electric Volt, the new Chevrolet Cruze could be delayed until 2011, nearly a year after its original U.S. market launch date, according to a report from Businessweek citing sources within the company. Likewise, the next next-generation Chevy Malibu may also be delayed by six months, into 2013, the report said. While GM spokesperson Dee Allen would not confirm any specific product delays, he told the magazine that "the company will continue to review the portfolio and concentrate on what's most important," adding that that some new-car programs "are going to shift around a bit."
