Include Pulsar 180 DTSi,

Its just around Rs. 15,00 more than the Pulsar 150 and is the most powerful among the ones stated above.

My choice would definitely be the Pulsat 180 DTSi

The Pulsar is pretty good but its gotten so ubiquitous that im almost fed up with it.. And to make things better(or worse, depending on the bike you favour), here comes the RTR!  Cooler, Faster and more stunning than ever.. Im hooked..

Well pulsar 180 costs 3500 more than the 150 and it has quiet different dimensions than the 150 like height.... and people prefer 150 for better riding position.

In Bangalore the difference between the 180 and 150 is just around Rs.1500

And there is NO difference between the dimensions of the Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 180.

The RTR is a cool bike but looks small and better suited for boys studying in 11-12 and colleges (isnt that what is shown in the RTR Ads..??)

The CBZ Xtreme is another good bike with BIG looks..  (even bigger than the Pulsar) but I somehow dont like its looks..

But I have to say that I like the RTR too..  smiley1.gif

Check the autocar magzine and you will see the variation in the dimensions.

I have Checked it,   both the Pulsar 150 and Pulsar 180 have Identical Physical (Length, Height, Wheelbase) Dimensions

The Pulsar 180 is just a few kgs heavier than the Pulsar 150

It says here in autocar oct edition !150 H-1060 L-2055 WB-1320 GC-165

180  H-1035  L-2000 WB-1330 GC-155

Now these figures are correct and 180 is not seen much on road because of its GC and is thus priced close to 150.

First the 150 L- 2055WB-1320 H-1060 GC-165 now the 180 L- 2000WB-1330 H-1035 GC-155.

These are from the latest Oct issue and due to low height and ground clearence it is not popular and 150 has better riding position than 180.

My God...  I checked out the Oct issue too and found the above quoted figures by you...

But I think those have been misprinted by autocar..

  • Wheelbase of Pulsar 150: 1320

  • Wheelbase of Pulsar 180: 1330 (By Autocar)

but according to official figures...

30rxj0n.jpg

The wheelbase of both bikes are 1320 mm

Whatever might be the figures,  According to me the Pulsar 180 is not as popular as the Pulsar 150 simply because of its fuel efficiency..

While making a purcase common people dont inquire about the Physical dimensions but the Mileage... and we all know that the Pulsar 150 gives around 50 Km/l and the Pulsar 180 gives around 40 Km/l.

I have check out in another magazine..  Bike India.

And in that magazine the wheelbase of both 150 and 180 have been given as 1330 mm..!! smiley1.gif

According to Autocar:

Pulsar 150: 1320

Pulsar 180: 1330

And the official Bajaj figure for both 150 and 180 is 1320.

Which one to believe...???

Anyway, I think sales of Pulsar 180 is less because of its low mileage compared to the Pulsar 150.
