Zal D 0 Report post Posted December 13, 2008 17-second 0-60mphthats a good fig...isnt it..guys...>> Well no it isn't good. Its too slow and for countries like uk, america etc. But for indian standards it might be ok.
designersf 0 Report post Posted December 14, 2008 Its good anywhere....You wont be doing such acceleration in the city
archit 2 Report post Posted December 15, 2008 well a good comparison would be when we know how long time does it take a 800 to 100 km/h!!
manu 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2008 hi archit 800 takes 26.95 sec for 0-100km/h but what matters is really 20 to 80 km/h where she takes 15.46 sec and isn't far behind bigger cars... try overtaking bigger cars on a flyover and you will be surprised by th performance of the veteran!!! Crazy cat 0 Report post Posted December 15, 2008 I agree manu, 800 has great driveability. @archit, I don't think that Nano can reach 100kph itself, if it reach it won't be as stable as 800.
karan_4n 0 Report post Posted December 26, 2008 but y are the two compared?? Nano is meant to be small and fuel efficient.. it has got nothing to do wit the speed and acceleration.
archit 2 Report post Posted December 27, 2008 yea that is also true karan!! it is more towards fuel consumption!!
yamahaR15 0 Report post Posted December 27, 2008 ita main usp is affordability.. & not performance
karan_4n 0 Report post Posted December 27, 2008 ya TATAs had the factor 'affordability' in their mind and a dream of roof for the two wheeler class.. and thats what they have come up with..

That was also a similar car but sold in millions in Europe only.  Apart from car magazines, general public everywhere is hardly bothered about 0-60 timings, as they are more concerned about other factors affordability, comfort and after sales service etc. akj53in2008-12-27 08:48:
bluesapphire 1 Report post Posted December 27, 2008 This car is not all for performance but its for affordability, its dimensions, maintenance and FE.. And whats good thing is that Tata with its low price has pay attention towards comfort, ride quality, quality, etc...

vasist 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2009 Most of the Nanos will be for family use , and no boy racer is going to buy the Nano( the 0.6 liter version ) . It's job is to ferry people from one point to another in comfort and safely and it does an exceptional job in that . Why are you guys talking about it's performance . and 0-100 in 17 sec is not bad at all considering it's also very efficient..
dtandon 0 Report post Posted January 27, 2009 Our republic day's come and gone - no word about the Nano. Are we to wait till the Independence day now?
