Hello everyone

1.I am capt shashi tokas posted at patiala.

2. I have purchased Honda city from lally motars karnal .car no HR99CK(TEMP)6570 in the month of nov2008 with one year insurance cover.

3. The car got some mechanical failure and unable to start.I contacted prestige Honda in patiala on 14 Jan 09.

4.  since then i have been in regular touch with the service manager but my problem is not being delt properly . No clear conformation is been given to me. I have also contacted customer care complain no 10900577.

5. If anyone spare some time and guide me a way out i'll be greatful.

Can you be a bit more specific about the exact trouble. We try to help but are not able to do anything without details of the failure.

Have you contacted Honda Customer Care? Most firms (esp. Honda) are serious about this.

1. Thank you for your concern. actually there was a burst sound in engine and when i opened the bonot of car the coolant pipe was leaking . later from lally motors in patiala i came to know that the connecting rod has broken which hit the side walls of block (engine).

2. I have been daily contacting the customer care ppl as well as the service manager lally motors patiala but no one is paying any heat to my problem.

My veh is under warranty period.

3. sir ill be greatfull if you could guide me a way out.

Its really shocking to hear con rod failure in a brand new City. Are you sure in this?

If that is the case its a major breakdown.

My view in this regard is you go to the ASS immediatey look into the car and try to understand things what has happened physically.

Kindly do not hear the words of sales person since they may be hiding and may not be clear in their words.

Even if its made ready do insist on additional warranty period without any extra cash.

If u could be detail things what has happened exactly we can look into it.

Honda should replace/repair the car in a reasonable amount of time. Since its already been more that a week - ask them for a firm estimate of how long the repairs will take - ask them to give it in writing and let them know that you are willing to go to the consumer courts.

1. Thanks you for ur concern. Its been more then 10days i have been in regular touch with lally motors in patiala and customer care dept in gk delhi . But my problem is not being heard .They always say we'll come back to u .No one is giving me satisfactory ans .

2. I have personally visited twice to honda motors in patiala .sir i am a seving officer and dont know much to technical details of car and there way of functioning.

3. I am facing lot of domestic problems ,feeling as if i have been CHEATED and done something wrong by buying "HONDA CAR".these people are just not bothered what there customer is facing .

4. Ill be greatfull if you could help me getting in touch with senior honda people.

1. special attention for HONDA PEOPLE .

2. Its been more than 10 days for my veh getting stuckup at lally motors patiala. I have been ringing up the sevice manger plus the customer care people .sending various mails . But to my uttar dissatisfaction nothing is being done.

3. As a customer of HONDA i am feeling CHEATED on your part. As my veh is just 03 months old and is under 01 year warranty period.

4. I am a serving army officer and running from lamp to post to get my veh back. visted twice to lally motors leaving my job,made several std call's but no reply.

5. just wishing that my this message is heard and some action done by HONDA PEOPLE to safeguard the goodwill of HONDA.

Dear Sir,

Suggest you to Get in touch with Senior Officers of Honda siel Cars, Elaborate them on the Problems you are facing and Ask for a Proper resolution in a definite time frame.

Sales people @ Delership Or Customer care executives may not help you unless being Pressurised to do so by TOP Bosses.

 

Honda is a reputed Brand, and this type of behavior is really disturbing .

Hi Capt., Lally motors treat customers badly everywhere, many of my friends have had bad experiences with them. Its due to the monoply they have in North  region.

You can get contact nos. of Honda India/Japan from owners manual/website(Honda). Or try to get nos. from dealership in Delhi.

But Honda would forward complaint to Lally motors only, which will again take unsatisfactory action.

Anyways, do get in touch with Honda headquaters Japan apart from India.

@ Capt. Shashi Tokas: Kindly go to hondacarindia.com and mail your grievance there to the customer car id given or click on the 'contact us' and air your grievance there. They are sure to take cognisance of your complaint and attend to it promptly.

These days car and bike warranty repairs/replacements can be done through any dealership. So if there is a second dealer there why not try that option. The dealer need not be the one through whom the purchase was made.

Also the fact that the dealer is too stubborn needs to be highlighted through the press.Why not contact some correspondents and give them the news story with all details? But also check what the Army Act says and that whether you can talk to the press in such matters. Someone from the Military Law Corps may help you here.

The next is the best option. Contact a good lawyer who specialises in consumer court matters and serve a legal notice claiming replacements within warranty plus Rs 10 lakhs as compensation for the mental agony, torture,harassment and for the fact that you have not been able to use the car  since  when it was new.I think once you serve that legal notice, it becomes a public document, which the press reporters may cover with other details in the newspapers.

Recently a harassed Skoda Octavia owner facing mechanical problems and similarly harassed by the local dealer had published an advertisement stating the fact and also the fact that he was willing to sell the car for Re One as it had that sort of official valuation by the dealer.

Wel, if you do not get satishfactory reply on these nos

try browsing www.linkedin.com .Search for Honda siel cars india ltd and you will find profiles of people working here, you can pick up the details and contact nos of GM marketing or reginal sales Head and contact them.

there is also a Vehicle quality manager listed in the network.

this should help

Hi Capt.

           I think you should file a Complain against the Dealer in Local Consumer Forum stating you problems. Please check out below link

 See if you can get any help from Honda website above.

If you dont get satisfactory response at the earliest, I Request you PLEASE FILE A COMPLAIN AGAINST YOUR CAR DEALER AND HONDA SIEL INDIA LTD. IN LOCAL CONSUMER FORUM. Once you show them the POWER of Consumer Forum, I am sure you will get Satisfactory Response from HSIL.

     Also if possible, first tell the Dealer that you are going to file a complain against him in Consumer Forum. See if gets afraid after listening Name of Consumer Forum. If he did not, go and file a complain.

Please post what response did you after following above guidelines.

  May all your car problems get solve without any major trouble.
