Getz deals

Recommended Posts

Well wife doesn't like swift looks,I10 is small for highway, I20 has few egronomic quirks that left me not impressed, U-VA is underpowered, Fusion / Fabia are expensive. Palio's ASS is not great. Don't want to wait for Punto / Jazz. Getz is the only car I and my wife could agree on.

I don't end up driving on weekdays so mileage not much of an issue, just need a spacious, well built hatch back with decent suspension. Getz 1.3 fits the bill. I have thought about this for 3 months before finally deciding today.

All I need to find now is a good deal.

ankitj, well if you have decided upon your car then congratulations, diwali time had around 20k to 30k discounts, but with 2009 feb, dealers here in my city are saying around 15k now on getz 1.1,1.3 respectively. If you are opting for finance options, then you also might get more discounts on this. Getz is not so popular, as havent sold much but is a very good car, solid built. Try to bargain as much as u can with freebies and discounts.CHEERS!!!

DEAR ANKIT U MADE A GREAT CHOICE ..GETZ HAS BEEN A GREAT CAR SINCE WHEN IT WAS LAUNCHED ..BUT PEOPLE IN INDIA LIKE TO COPY OTHERS AS MAJORITY OF PEOPLE LACK WITH KNOWLEDGE IN AUTOMOBILES..SO THEY GO BLINDLY FOR PRODUCTS LIKE MARUTI AS THEY SEE ONLY MARUTI IN LAGER NUMBERS..BUT SALES IS NO CRITERIA FOR JUDGING THE GREATNESS OF THE PRODUCT..I BELIEVE GETZ IS STILL A GREAT CAR AND WILL B A GOOD COMPANIOON OF UR FOR LONG..AND WISH U ALSO GET A BETTER DEAL APART FROM A GREAT PRODUCT...INTELLIGENT CHOICE INDEED.

Note From Admin: I had to go through your post twice just to understand what you were saying. Please don't type in capitals as it seriously hampers readability for everyone. Go through the announcements section for the rules and regulations of the forum.

dear dont get confused by comments which r restricting u to giong for the getz...being hyundai u donot have to worry abt company support ..and literally getz have started selling in better numbers ..i can see a lot of new getz now than before ..and i doubt the comments of people abt getz who havnt not owned anything other than maruti ...no maruti product can ever compare in quality which hyundai provides ..and QUALITY DOES MATTER IN LONG RUN

@ Ankitj: My Elantra was 'deader' than the Getz when I bought it 'new' at Rs.9.3 lakhs on road. I'm very happy with the car and the service provided by Hyundai. Don't alway's look at the residual's of the car when you are buying; just keep your priorities in mind. Getz 1.3 is a good car, that didn't hit the target, it has space and pace, and look's great in solid red....Ankitj go for that solid Red Getz.

I finally decided to buy a new getz in Bangalore.

Anybody aware of any deals on it. What would be a good deal?

Hey Ankit,

Rocking....I always liked the Getz when i first took a TD. but then that was 3 years ago and I had bought a car then..

Today when its time to change cars I am getting confused with opinions that have been shared with you by one and all..

Its a dead car etc...Old Model....etc etc

But I guess its still a nice car...Whats the OTR price you are getting?

Like Durango mentioned.. Go for the Red...

Happy Driving !!!

I second Rishi-del & Ash-the-dash. I am a proud owner of the Getz and Do believe that It should not be compared with Swift. It is notch better than Swift. It's space management and drive is mind-blowing.. Never felt tired and cramped in any seat of the car. Boot space is maximum. Go and get your car and enjoy.. All the best.

If you have asked us this question a year before, we would have asked you to go for Getz. But now Getz is not doing well and also i20 has entered the market. It won't fetch you good resale value. Go for Getz, if resale value is not a priority and if you want a diesel power.

But I personally suggest you to change your decision.

I have throughly considered all options in market and decided that getz 1.3 GLX works best for me ( I am fully aware of all its negatives). If anybody has recently bought one, and can share discounts they were able to get , I would greatly appreciate it.

can you share what offers are you getting in your city's dealers with how much discounts and onroad price.

The dealer has to get back to me with offers. She said they are waiting for some details from Hyundai.

Hey try to get the offers from all the dealers in your city and negotiate like anything. They are in hurry to clear the stock they have. specifically 1.3 is not running much, so tell your price to the dealer and try to stick to your price. I believe they will agree to your rate. All the best.
