Parcel Tray - Requirement

Have a request

 

can u please tell me

 

1   what care should be taken while buying parcel tray where speakers are fixed

2   how it should be - tight , heavy - light

3  what thickness

4  what care maintence required

5  how much a good branded will cost ?

Ideally they should be made of MDF. And then there a lot of variables involved like whether you want it to be removable or fixed, the number of speakers going on them.

I don't think there are any branded one's and they don't need any maintenance too.

Its hard to get an air tight fit with parcel trays - your 6x9's will sound better (especially low frequencies) if mounted in separate speaker boxes.

Go for a tray only if you need it for other reasons.

You will not get and don't need an air tight fit for 6x9's on a rear parcel tray, the speakers will sing fine with some gap. Like dtandon suggested, 6x9's in a rectangular enclosure would be ideal.
