Excessive heat from rear brake of my R15

Recommended Posts

Hi guys.... I own a yamaha R15 which is about 3 months old and has done 4800 kms to date, its a fabulous bike. Today accidentally i noticed that the rear disc was hot (not warm) after a drive of about 5 kms at a sedate speed. To confirm later again after some 4 hours or so i rode the bike for some 2 kms for speeds not crossing 40 km/hr. But still the rear brake disc was hot. There is not brake fade nor the wheel is jamming. Is it the heat of the silencer (its damn hot here, ambient temperature is itself around 40 celsius) bouncing of the disc or is something wrong? A bit worried, any answer to my problem people?!!
