Mitsubishi's Secret Weapon for Fabia, i20, jazz...

Recommended Posts

Hey Friends, here is the Mitsubishi's good looking Hatch which matching lines with exciting and aggressive EVO X and it is answer to the hot hot Indian Premium Hatch Segment. . Mitsubishi can battle against i20, fabia, jazz etc... Mitsubishi has very good scope with its impressive product line-up.

Instead of introducing new lancer against much advanced Civic, Corolla Altis, Skoda Laura etc... With "COLT" Mitsubishi can put itself among a very big consumer base and fast moving segment.

Mitsubs are dead in India! They are not clear what they want to do with Sales in India.

They had a average selling Lancer, sometime back, they stopped them, brought in the Cedia which did not create any ruffles, tried adding the cng kits to them, went from bad to worse.

Now they are stuck in no man's land. I dont think they will risk themselves further. Otherwise the new Lancer is a very good car to launch in India. They are better off launching that one instead of getting into Indian small car market already dominated by big players.

Don't go by the looks. Colt is a sick car with sick performance, neither does it have interior space and quality, nor any driving pleasure. sparshq2009-05-18 03:10:05

Yes, that's true, even if Amby is launched with entirely modern interior, torquey engine like XYLO, safety features etc... it can still compete with new gen cars. As if Amby has great interior space and best back seat. Still we find it as the most comfortable one.

Actually the HM is not taking any attempts to make their brand stronger. Amby still has very good capacity to sell itself in good numbers.

Any one has sketches of facelifted Amby ?

One is known by the company one keeps!! In India Mitusbishi should have atleast taken the example of their product the AMBY, Anyway Mitsubishi world wide is not doing good, there sole saviour is the new Lancer EVO, This seems to be a nice compact, it they introduce it here rapidly like the Cedia, they will make a mark, as the Mitsubishi brand in India is still well received.

But the they need to revive them selves fast, let go of the AMBY like culture, The Lancer since it's introduction is still not withdrawn is it? they need to act the way FIAT did they at least unlike FIAT don't have a negative image.

There are certain companies like M&M and HM who don't seem to believe that the Indian customer has arrived on the world car scene and a better product at a logical price is what the indian customer would appreciate very much.

Like other Automobile Manufacturers, Mitsubishi should work independetnly, they already have maket established and even countrywide dealer network and channels are also known to them.

Mitsubishi have problem with their lineup and they keep doing same mistakes againand again

Mistake 1 : Mitsubishi introduced Lancer with not very spirited engine and driving dynamics, even they introduced new facelifted lancer with very minor cospectic changes.

Mistake 2 : In SUV Segment they introduced very old but capable Pajero, this move also didn't helped as people who were following Mitsubishi Brand were expecting something new and exciting from them
, Mercedes did the same mistake initially by introducing old model when people were expecting something new. .

Mistake 3 : They introduced not very impressive 'Montero' which is not having big market in India. Ultra Premium SUV's are still selling in small numbers and for Mitsubishi, before introducing premium products they should think of their survival by selling more marketable products.

Mistake 4: They introduced Outlander to compete against the much capable Chevrolet Captiva which is also available in diesel option and preferred by most of people going for an SUV in price range of Rs.18 to Rs.20 Lakhs. Even the size is small (A typical 5 seater)
.

Mistake 5 (Still to be done but surely they will do it ): smiley18.gif Introducing EVO in price range of 20 Lakhs (who will buy this ??????) . Instead of position it against Civic, Altis etc... it will be "Pitted" against Honda Accord, Hyundai Sonata Embera, Merc C-Class, BMW 3 Series, VW Jetta and Passat, Audi A-4.

Please Mitsubishi Management People in India, if you are reading this forum, please save your company by introducing models to run your company on long term basis instead of just remaining 'A Company' who need to have presance in India as there are other Global Auto Manufacturers are selling their products.

Just learn from Maruti, by not discontinuing any of their products and keep increasing their product range, they are managing to sell more than 700,000/- vehicle in a year.

No!!

Guys very very bad news.

Those who like the Outlander's looks can die at this moment. Outlander is gonna get a facelift which will also come to India by the end of the year, and it looks hell ugly!!

It really has spoilt the looks!

The new grille comes from the Colt and it makes me pity Mitsubishi.

They've done it all wrong!

Outlander GT Prototype, yuck yuck yuck!

If you look at above face lifted Outlander minutely, the front looks like face of "Darth Vader". smiley36.gif

darth-vader-deluxe-helmet.jpg

Fans of "Darth Vader", sorry for comparing with Mitsubishi

If Mitsubishi introduces this vehicle in India, "MITSUBISHI" should permenantly change their name to "MISTAKEBISHI" in India smiley18.gif smiley36.gifsmiley36.gifsmiley36.gifsmiley36.gifsmiley36.gif

mitsubishi is not serious about india and it will never be. When the lancer was first launched in early 2000 { i guess} or 2001, i think it did fairly well and sold in decent numbers. A lot of people bought the diesels and felt they were very good! I know stupid friend of mine who bought a lancer diesel just a year ago! so then mitsu should have backed it up by constant upgradations. They launched the cedia with no diesel option, priced at corolla territory and failed miserably from day one. they should have atleast put the same lancer diesel engine with some minor upgradations and priced it about 8-9 lakhs..it would have been bang competition to verna / fiesta and later they could have upgraded to a crdi! Even the outlander which is supposed to very good is a failure coz it does not have a diesel option! Apart from the crv, none of the petrol suvs have been able to do well! so why launch the outlander with a petrol engine? for 20 lakhs you dont have a diesel suv apart from the endeavour and the captivs..so why not capitalize this void?

mitsu, we suggest you rather pack up and leave. I'm sure they might launch the lancer evo at about 12 lakhs and fail miserably again!
