Xclusive :: 1st Ever Pics Of New Pulsar 220

Recommended Posts

The 2009 Edition Bajaj Pulsar 220 DTSi may not have any drastic design changes, but it sure does look quite different from its predecessor. Contributing to the new look is the 'all-black' treatment - from the forks, swingarm, wheels and engine are all in a rich shade of black and that makes the bike look much leaner and meaner. Raised 3D graphics on the tank are also a big plus. Here's the bike at rest, so that you can admire all the visual and technical details, including that new carburetor!

The bike looks as stupid as it looked earlier also it just a new paint scheme with only carb replacing the good Fi. This really sucks all this anticipation for this crap the bike still looks naked their is no under body cowl like the Karizma and seriously saying I am now sick of pulsar.

looks nice to me. the Karizma looks too plasticy.

at 21 PS the P220 has much more power than the 17 PS karizma.    plus the P220 also has much more stuff like wider rear tyre which are tubeless too. bright projector headlamps.

the best part will be that the new 220 will cost the same as the karizma now.

the karizma just has stickers, the honda name and plastic.

The design is not very appealing as a model change as it has nothing so totally new, other than some rakish lines and the chrome badging on the fuel tank. Expected some really futuristic looks from Bajaj who know our market like no one else.<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Guess Bajaj does not have much to show, other that reverting the the carb, It good that the have gone back to the carb, Fi are very difficult to maintain and expensive.

The 220 has been brought down in pricing is a part of a larger strategy from Bajaj, the plan to get the Kwaker 250 in the earlier price range of the 220 and at the same time give the avg. joe a chance to reach for a above average bike with the 220.

even before with Fi this bike was considered as most Vfm and worth bike at 85k but still it didnt worked for bajaj, i think even now with 70k without fi this is not gonna work...Now everyone is known of bajajs cheap tactics and quality and bajaj has to overcome that...sometime back bajaj dreamt to overtake HH but some months back it wasnt even able to fight with Honda and Tvs even with some new promising products. ...what a shame...i just hate this company..and p220 from the very beginning looks sh*t, doesnt even comes close to ZMA even after so many years in looks department..
