sgiitk 0 Report post Posted June 28, 2009 Every car today comes with anti corrosion treatment. You may need additional protection only if you are in a high corrosion area (read seaside).
pritm 0 Report post Posted June 29, 2009 I could say there will be no specific anti corrosion treatment but normal CED Process (which is a Pre Treatment process) with additional seam sealer applied at the panel joineries. But anyways the life of treatment will be measured interms of SST (Salt Spray Test) as number of hours may be 2000 or 2500 hrs. So it may meet the normal requirements of Indian conditions but for highly corrosive areas. I may also suggest you to go for treatment of the surface if your panels underwent tinkering work upto bare metal, since the coating would have been removed due to this activities. 5u3zEr0 0 Report post Posted July 1, 2009 I don't think so and my cars definitely don't have them and I don't see much of a difference on them. To me this teflon coating/underbody spray are just ways for the dealer to make money.
