speed 0 Report post Posted July 10, 2009 Hi Bingo, quite a fantastic nick you got there! First congrats on your new ANHC, 3M & teflon are good choices & cost ~ 3k for whole body treatment. If you live/drive in humid conditions, do go in for underbody treatment also, it helps preventing rust. Get it done from specialists, they do it outside the official car showrooms, try locating one, this way you might save some bucks.

Durango Dude 2 Report post Posted July 10, 2009 First of all, this teflon stuff is basically money spinning business. A new car doesn't need either the teflon or under body treatment. I was told this by my dealer when I bought the Elantra. What one can do is to go for a good polish of the exterior after first cleaning the dust off with water. This costs Rs.1,500 only and is done by 3M guys at your place itself you don't have to take your vehicle to their garage. This can be done every 6 months to maintain the exterior sheen of the original paint, also it'll protect against bird droppings and harsh sunlight which we have in abundance down south. My car is always parked in my portico.

gajaykrishna 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2009 Do not go for any teflon coating for ur city its just a waste of money and the original honda's metallic paint can protect it from the normal environmental conditions prevailing in india. you just need to maintain ur car and have ur car washed regularly nd leave the rest to the hondas. your car is never going to look dull. karan_4n 0 Report post Posted July 12, 2009 Yes the Teflon coat is a marketing strategy but its useful too sometimes. It depends upon the place where you staying and your daily drive. Teflon protects your paint surface of getting faded out at higher degrees of temperature(but upto certain extent). It also develops smoothness over the paint to avoid pollution and dust particles which otherwise get easily stuck over the surface.
