Giancarlo Fisichella will race for Ferrari at the remaining five rounds of 2009 after Force India agreed to release him from his contract on Thursday. Fisichella will replace Ferrari test driver Luca Badoer as stand-in for the injured Felipe Massa, starting at next weekend

Amen to that. Now let us see what Vitantonio Liuzzi can do in the Force India car. Here is my prediction. Fisichella is not going to set the Ferrari on fire and neither will Liuzzi the Force India car. Force India has had its moment of glory and now it will be business as usual, meaning they will be back to the back of the grid.

I was expecting this more or less as Vijay Mallya and Force India owe money to Ferrari for last year and this point would help Ferrari in negotiating. Vijay Mallya could have negotitated that Ferrari forsake the dues for Fisichella, there are reports in the press on this.

Happy for Fisi for he will get to drive the Ferrari in his home race and beyond and he deserves it. Let's hope he does a much better job for Ferrari than Luca and gets some points.

It has been Fisi's dream to driver for Ferrari. That would be the ultimate dream for any Italian driver. Good of Mallya to let him go.

Force India would now have to look for an experienced driver to help develop the 2010 car.
