Japanese two wheeler giant, Yamaha has launched its new superbike V-Max in the Indian market. The bike has been priced at Rs 20 Lakhs Ex-Showroom, Delhi.

The name V-Max comes from physics, which is a scientific term for maximum velocity attained at the end of a period of continuous acceleration - which sums up the new Yamaha perfectly. The V-Max comes with a 1609 cc V4 DOHC engine which is used as a stressed member of the chassis. Other tech bits include Yamaha Chip Controlled Intake (YCC-I), fully adjustable suspension, anti-lock brakes, slipper clutch, fuel tank beneath the seat and a distinctive key.

Yamaha Chip Controlled Intake (YCC-I) is a new addition to the VMAX. The airhorns inside the airbox are lifted by a servo activated at 6650 RpM to open up the airway underneath. This shortens the length of the intake system from 150mm to 52mm.

Yamaha has also introduced the limited edition white colored variants of the FZ-16, FZ-S and Fazer which have been priced at 66,500/-,Rs. 68,500/- and Rs. 73,500/- respectively.

Specially in this color theme, Fz looks much better than Fazer and has that premium feel and appeal. I just love the Fz, its commendable job by Yamaha, and seems they have understood the indian market pretty well after such a long struggling time. It shows as they are not stopping to introduce limited editions with new colors, stickers, etc and a half fairing on Fz is typically indian, but then that only sells here. Good job Yamaha...
