Yesterday i went to Auto Vikas showroom and did the test Drive of cruze.

LTZ is fully fully loaded car and is having all the features. Cruise control which is normally in automatic cars is also there.  Gud pick up.

6 colors will be there.

I will do test drive again today in the afternoon as yesterday only did TD for 10 minutes as some people from Chevy came to the dealer so had to come back urgently.

Its now due to launch in first week of october and deliveries will may or may not start during diwali as told by dealer which will all depend on number of bookings.

Alloy wheel 16 they are providing and all 5 are alloy wheels.

I have taken some pics but dont know how to post them.  Can anyone tell me how to post the pics.

TODAY IS 25TH.. WHAT HAPPENED TO THE ROUMORS WHO HAD SAID THE CRUISE is releasing today ? all bluffers

Kindly refrain from using word bluffers.  The car is already there and booking is being done @Rs.1 Lakh amount.

In Goa it has already been launched.  Delhi now its first week of October.

Yesterday I did TD of cruze and have taken some pics.

Laura: hoot to drive

Jetta: nothing great. forget about it.

civic: honda brand, good design comfortable

altis: reliable, lowest ownnership cost

Cruze: diesel(which civic is not) good looks. will be cheapest to maintain.

My advice: buying petrol: go for civic.

Diesel: its cruze vs. Laura

With Civic you will only have the problem of scrapping the speed breakers and even a normal height manhole covers.

Cruze is a good car with all the latest features.

Chevy will be giving 3 years warranty/100' date='000 KMS which ever is earlier.

This is confirmed as I read in the catalogue of Cruze

You said td the cruze right ? how was it >> does the laura beats the cruze ?

hey guys

i did happened to take a test drive of the vehicle.

first gear pick up is gr8

a bit slow in second gear probably due to turbo lag as mentioned in various reviews... but still better than my current viva crdi.

after 1500-1700 rpm its just marvellous

its fun to drive

ride quality is good

sound insulation is also good

seat fabric could have been better

not that spacious from inside

ride quality is good.

tyres look huge

like the keys, start stop button.

sterring is relatively small

engine is smooth

looks gr8

rear leg room is decent

thanks

any questions are welcome

When you say not spacious, how is it compared to Laura and Civic?

heres what one of my friends said on another forum...

Hi guys! I checked out the Cruz today.
The model I checked out was the fully loaded version with Airbags, ABS sunroof et al.
The car is pretty big and has quiet a road presence, primarily due to the "In your face" grill! The interior space though is just a bit more than the Magnum. The boot, though pretty big, seemed a little shallow.
The interiors were all grey leather and the dash was quite large with nice contours. the MID display was a bit of a disappointment with no touch screen.
The instrument cluster is very neat with the cool blue lighting.
When Istarted her up, the engine was pretty quiet, though undoubtedly diesel in clatter. The first gear was a bit jerky though I did not find this in any other gear.
The pick up is very linear if the engine is in the right rpm and really moves that bulk very effectively. However if you are not in the right revs, the turbo lag is very evident. This car gets you to crazy speeds very quickly indeed, but you do not feel the urgency there is on the Skoda RS.
The ride is taut and handling very good. My first impression on the braking of the Fortuner was quite mis-placed and hence I checked out the brakes on the CRUZ and was VERY satisfied. The CRUZ comes with all wheel disk brakes and despite repeated high speed braking, the fade was negligible.
The 6 CD changer sounded pretty good and I am told it has a 6 speaker set up. The rear parking sensors did their job very well.
The passive entry system was very effective and all you needed to ensure was that the key was within a metre from the car. The start/stop while being very innovative, takes a bit of getting used to. All one has to do is press the clutch and then press the start button once, the ECM checks everything and starts the engine.
We hunted for the fuel lid opener and then finally realised that all one needs to do is be near the fuel lid with the key fob and press on the lid and it opens. The fuel lids stays locked if you move away!!!
The cruise control worked beautifully and will be a stress reliever on long open stretches.
The car, if priced at 14 lakhs on road, could be GM's charge into the lower D segment. I came back very impressed.
