The problem is that am counting on the days about when i am gonna get the Unicorn that i had already booked. Now its being 38days and still adding up !!!

At least the no. of days has to cross 60-70 when there will be at least a ray of hope to get my bike...

Now,what am afraid of is that whether i may change my mind to the above said bike, the 150gs !!!

the honda unicorn would be without a doubt the best option for you because of 2 more reasons:

1: better after purchase services

2: availability of spare parts

in both these areas suzuki lacks terribly

REVIEW OF THE GS150:

Well !!

I test ride the GS150R today !!!

The engine seems to be smooth as done with Unicorn!!!

Gadget seems to be cool !!!

Problem seems to be with the weight !! [>Uni]

Height too seems to be a bit problem too !!![=> Uni]

Gear Shift = Smooth

Pick up = Seems good but [<Uni] !!

Is there a problem with that guys ???

I think its better with an avg. pickup since it helps out with top speeds !!

[correct me if i am wrong]..

then what else, the tail lamp seems to be cool too !!!

Q:Does the gain of weight danger enough, that if it fall to any side does that affect the body mainly the tank ??

Service Warranty : 3 yrs !!!

[Covers full bike body replacement b\w 3 years]

Current offer till end of the next week :

Offer worth 2000 INR !!!

500 INR worth petrol + 1500 INR in cash !!!

Earlier the offer amount was 5000 INR !!!! smiley3.gif

I have Suzuki Fiero which was bought in June 2000. The bike has covered 61,000+kms. Still the Engine is Strong enough. The Fuel Efficiency is around 55kpl. Now i have given the bike to a person in our office. He uses the bike without much fuss. Only the Timing Chain is making noise. otherwise the bike is Good in Pickup and Mileage.

You can go ahead and buy the Suzuki GS150. It has Digital Instruments unlike Unicorn. Suzuki Bikes are Highly Reliable. You can take the example of my Fiero.

As for After Sales Service, it depends on the Courtesy of Service Outlet/Dealer.

Suzuki GS 150R .. its not better than unicorn man..

just it has 6 speed gear box and nothing more..

the riding position in GS is not that good and so the pick up..

i felt it underpowered in my test ride..

Honda Unicorn is Good and got smooth engine and its good when compared with GS..

why don't u try TVS Apache 160R or FI

This phrase "kick their ------" is unparliamentary language  and be best avoided as we all talk and are used to posting decent threads and posts here.

Why are you getting confused between Honda and Suzuki. There are better bikes than those in the same price range. I will suggest the CBZ Xtreme, brilliant bike and has an awesome pickup. Apache is no slouch either

Both Unicorn and GS 150R are pretty reliable bikes. But overall, I think the GS will be a better bike between the two. It is a newer bike than Unicorn. The ride quality also is better than unicorn.

If you have Suzuki service center in your town, the after-sales experience will not be a problem.

Me, being a Honda owner for the past 4 years (I own a Honda Eterno), doesn't like the after sales service experience of Honda.

I have tried out the Honda authorized service centers at 3 different towns. But everywhere, I felt the arrogant attitude the Honda dealerships shows towards customers. I do not have any complaint with the bike as such. But if there is something I dislike, it is the Honda's service; not the bike. :-)

@Jadu, Have you bought man, if not, I repeat this once again.

GS is as good and smooth as Unicorn' date='

Its additional gear takes care of more FE and less strain to engine.

both are japs, suzuki makes good engine eg, Shogun, Fieros   jem of an engines. so don't worry    BBBBBBBBB Happy

no man !!

not yet !!

i Have given a count down myself and also to the dealer till this Nov,1st .

Anyway i ain't going for GS man !!

One of my friend owns one and his review was pretty bad.

And too about the service was also bad enough.

I had finally taken some decisions..

I'll ride my CD100 ('93) for now till this Nov 1st and if i don't get Honda I will be getting an F Z S..

No changes again guys...

I had finally taken this decision.
