Hatch based 7 seater- Why don't we have in India?

Recommended Posts

but putting 7 seats under hatch chassis will put as much as 33% - 50% more extra weight and then the existing 1.0 or 1.3 liter engine will be strained like anything. and then some of us people start sh*tting upon the car's performance. also the fuel tank situated under the rear seats in existing cars will need to be shifted from there towards boot (which will require a great piece of architectural changes) and then there will be no real space for your boot area, spare tyre and rest other things.

But even 7 lakhs is good right' date=' what good 7 seater you have at that price.

This will bear 7 FRONT Facing seat, FE as a Sedan, Car like feel, literally no competition

I love your sense of humor dear.

car's FE depends over the weight its carrying, speed its cruising and all the other factors, not upon its size. so if 7 people going to accommodate in car then none of your good FE car will be able to give you not more 10-12 in city ( or may be lesser as the body weight would also increase because of addition seats and metal)

which is quite identical to MUVs or SUVs available, and wht about that crowling speed on the road, that shouting engine because of overload and crying AC.

"Tata Motors is mulling a seven-seater MPV based on the Indigo Manza platform. The project is still at the feasibility stage and has'nt yet been given the green light.A target price of Rs 7-8 Lakh has been set and a lot will depend if the mini MPV can meet this price point"-ACITata_Indigo_Manza_Marina.jpg

Hope we get it soon here. It would have immense potential in India, where we would love to carry many people in weekends and on week days, we need good FE on city commute, where hardly 1 or 2 people travel.

I'm wondering where it's going to feature its too loooong Name logo-'Tata Indigo Manza Marina Quadrajet90' !!

Car based MPVs are Ideal mode of transport in today's congested roads due to their Sedan size but are not much accepted yet due to their Very Low Roof-line at 3rd row & Very Tight access to it.

India is one of the biggest hatch market in the world.

In the coming days' date=' we are going to see dozens of new hatches from various makers in roads.

Instead of attaching a boot to the hatch, why can't they make it a 7 seater

India is a very good  market for cheap yet reliable 7 seater.

-These if made in India should start at 5L and FE

My wishes coming true after yrs that too by our trusted Maruti.

Ritz been elongated to R-III. If I can get a VDI-ABS around 7 ONR, this will reach our garage.

As said before, the R-III alias Ertiga hit our shore and has become a HUUUUUUGE hit. Now coming next is Fiat 500L.

But even 7 lakhs is good right, what good 7 seater you have at that price.

This will bear 7 FRONT Facing seat, FE as a Sedan, Car like feel, literally no competition

This segment is still HOT with just one car rocking and still NO competing car in near future. Fiat 500L is still yrs away.

Cars that could be launched in India are

VW Touran

Kia Carens

GM spin
