Our PUNTO

Hi Guys,

As all of here everybody know that the Indian Punto lacks in the

Acceleration area (0-100 in 17.58secs is really too slow for a car having so sporty Profile) here as compared to its rivals featuring the same 1.3 MjD engine...

Can anyone tell me here what would be the Price difference happened if Fiat launched it with the VGT, 90bhp, 1.3l MjD powering the Linea ???

Any Intelligent Guesses !!!

And when will be its 90bhp Diesel version coming ???

Punto VGT is likely to come only in Sports avatar, so it comes with 'n' no of  goodies like superb alloys, sun roof, good sticker work,.., etc.

So expect this to cost atleast some 75k-1L over Emo Pack. But remember you will get an Indian Abarth, so its worth dude.

My guess is, it should be out around mar- april, as they can win some Polo customers with it.

I wonder if someone has gone in for Remapping of the ECU and noticed any change in the performance.

@rangc' date='

Do you have put any other performance kits on it too..... ???

The REMUS Exhaust looks brilliant, does it have any performance gain or else ???

And what's the Tyre size used in that Alloys ??

Wanted to go in for K&N filter also but it's not available with the Bangalore dealer. Could anyone suggest me an aleternative to K&N?

Initial pickup and top speed has improved like anything with the Remus and the sound during decelaration is simply awesome!!!

Haven't tried the Pete's Tuning Box yet ??

It'll definitely provide the Surge what each & every Punto Owner needs....

Check this link:

Don't Forget to Check the Improved Torque & Power figures as the company claims with the Tuning Box on this Link:

Just go through it Thoroughly & Carefully......

RangC's Punto is relatively new and Petes is recommended after say 4-5k kms' date=' so he might be waiting for it.

Am i right sir?[/quote']

From the Pics, Rangc Punto seems to have clocked 2-4k kms,

And If he has altered his new Punto's Exhaust system, then he can also try

Pete's Box too...........

For Complete Info on them, Check these links......

I think the Pete's box is only for the diesel engines. Mine is 1.4 petrol.

Ha ha ha............

We've(me & mr bala) gone some other way man...........

Anyways, If yours Punto is the 1.4l Petrol one, then the REMUS works wonders for it na !!! I mean, its sounds really pleases the Ears na.............

And How much Fuel Efficiency are you getting from it ???

Good looking car you have there, Rangc. Congratulations! And the detailing with the black paint looks good. I would have liked bigger wheels and tyres but this is good too. About the air filter there are the other brands like Ractive, Evotion, Pipercross, you can check them out too. Good choice of tyres too.

EDIT: But the tyres are too wide for the power the Punto makes, you will lose some pickup. I think 185 would have sufficed or 195 at the max.
