Nano cancellations.

Recommended Posts

In the past two months TATA delivered about 2800 and 3400 units respectively. No matter what the issue is, if the delivery no.s dont improve soon than the cancellations would be justified and more would be coming in too. As you said, they will deliver 1,00,000 units by the end of this year, this means that 70,000 odd more units would be delivered in 2011. This makes the time between the booking and deliver of about 2 years.

TATA needs to step it up a notch if they dont want to loose out on more customers.

You can't conceive a people's car and have cottage industry type of manufacture, if a people's car isn't available readily then people tend to forget it. Tata will have to move many notches up if the Nano has to become a "real" people's car. Its totally ill prepared to meet the demand and that's really sad. All the red tape involved in getting one harks back to the license Raj/Communist Russia day's will not go down well with the buyer's.

WB govt tried their best. It fell in the hands of silly political turmoil which yielded no result. We in west bengal actually know what happened. Media hid the truth superbly. Now talks are going on for the transfer of the land to railways. So you can guess.

I feel bad for tata and indian political system.
