Maruti to slash prices of refreshed cars

Recommended Posts

Since, 800 & OMNI may not get a EURO 4 engine, ALTO & EECO may replace them as Cash cows in future......So, ALTO's price may cost less with a new variant to counter competition from NANO.....

ESTILO & WAGON R - cost may not change due to segment positioning.

A-STAR - cost may be reduced due to sluggish sales to counter I 10.

SWIFT & DEZIRE - cost may not change due to Strong demand.

RITZ may cost less to counter Competition from  BEAT / FIGO / MICRA / FABIA / POLO & also to improve sluggish sales.

Boss, idhellam romba over aamam  (This is too much in Tamil). Comparing Ritz with Fabia, even Swift is not a competition to Fabia

OT, your City has changed from Coimbatore to Chennai.

Welcome to Chennai dude.

All you guy's thinking of buying a hatch' date=' one suggestion: SIT ON YOUR HANDS FOR NOW, wait for the situation to pan out. Now, what would the budget coming at the end of Feb. have in store? Situation is kinda fluid, what say? Forget Hyundai and MSIL where would that leave Tata vehicle's after the consolidation phase would they also undergo a downward revision? If not Tata hatches would appear comparatively, less car per car.[/quote']

DD, so only hatch back cars prices may get changed after the Feb budget? so what about sedans?

Hi Ravish, welcome to the forum. Kindly go through the "Announcements" section of the forums to know the rules & regulations. Also, avoid posting the entire post in Capitals.

Regarding your query, its you who would have to help yourself in getting the desired discount. Get in touch with the local Maruti dealers in Town & ask them for best offers. Now, they can't fool you because you already know through Autocar the kind of offers going on.

Best of luck!

Dude.....I totally agree with you that RITZ or SWIFT may not at all  be comparable with present form of FABIA..... ;-)

However, VW wants to position POLO as a Big Volume car at around 4.5 to 5.5 lac  above FABIA.

Hence, it may bring down some features in present FABIA to introduce a low end variant to cost far less than POLO......

Now, u can see FABIA will be around RITZ price bracket....!!!
