Cars that'll boom if launch'd in India

Recommended Posts

Chevrolet Sail:

One of it is the newly launched sail in China:

Engine Specs:

- Will be exported to other developing countries around the world.
- 1.2-litre S-TEC II 87bhp - 0-100km/h in 12.9 seconds.
- 1.4-litre S-TEC III 103hp - 0-100km/h in 11.9 seconds.
- Five variants from RMB 56,800 (US$8,400) to RMB 68,800 (US$10,100).

Chevrolet Sail Hatch:

Fusion's back,Logan's lights,City's front,Cruze's bodyline......Isn't it a great combination?smiley17.gif

The Sail will come with 1.2 and 1.4-liter engines with 87hp and 103hp respectively. Five speed manual transmission will be offered initially and the EMT semi-automatic gearbox will follow shortly-In China.

According to me Aveo RS is highly infavourable for it's launch in India.

Chevrolet can save the current Aveo U-VA by replacing it by the sail sedan(At swift's price).

If chevrolet can offer a good diesel and above petrols then it would be a hit.smiley14.gif

what we need is a diesel soft roader, at 8-9 lakhs! That could really shake up the market..Not something like the xylo or the innova..more on the lines of the Fiat panda or the skoda yeti..May be Maruti should bring in its jimny with 1.3 mjd.

@winner, what car is this?

I think Aveo and its HB are on card. Is this a Sail?

9L for this car, Cruze itself comes at 10L, so why this for 9L?

Actually the Premium hatch/ Entry Sedan/ Mini SUV/ Entry MUV( All CRDIs) seems to be hot cakes of our market at the moment.

How can you expect a Malibu @ 9L?

I thought it to be some new car in that price band. Actually the car in that pix looks somewhat dull, so the confusion. See this picture and say how exclusive it is, it definitely deserve 20L.

what are you trying to say?
i cant understand a thing of what you want to say by the table.

Just a news, you can compare how costly it will be compared to other cars. If you see in that all cars are 10-15% cheaper/ costlier than our price, so you can roughly figure out our price.

The Malibu/ Caparo are such exclusive cars, that will never make it to Indian soil @ 9L.

I will settle for any hatch with a reasonably decent amount of power. Right now only the upcoming 1.6L Polo seems to be in the race.

I am already enquiring about the resale value of my car. I plan to change in a couple of months.

Punto might come up with 1.4Tjet. Linea TJet to be out in Sept, so this could come before year end.
