We all know that Skoda cars are good, but this fact changes when it comes into the Indian roads with the Indian dealers. So its test of how well the dealers would service these vehicles, without causing trouble to the Skoda Customers.

its a quirky car indeed' date=' but maybe the yeti can help change/improve skodas image.[/quote']

One thing that can really redeem Skoda's image would be some decent backup service. They all seem like they have come right out of Chambal or Solitary confinement in Tihar.

So now  the Yeti will be another addition to the company's portfolio in India. They have not improved after the Fabia launch. Cannot expect them to also improve with the Yeti launch. Most of the agents of this company (or can we call them dealers?) are a snobbish lot and have immensely helped in filling the company's coffers. Some of them are arrogance personified.

S  for Stubborn

K for Knighted (as they has won fame everywhere)

O for Odd

D for Dacoity

A for Arrogance smiley1.gif

So after suffering from Sales, now Skoda've started collecting Revenues by their latest Trap-'Yeti'.

Before all the Launches & all that, Skoda should have to do these tasks 1st;

-Improve their ASS & Dealers Attitude towards the Customers.

-Improve their Image again, whether by doing Recalls, Providing Extended Warranty benefits, other loyality benefits, etc..

It it such a shame about their ASS because they make some great and desirable cars. Sigh!

Someone said the car will be priced between 17-18L. From what I read in the ACI mag a few months ago, I thought it will be priced between 13-15L. Can someone confirm this.

I think Yeti and Aria have absolutely nothing to compete for amongst each other. They both cater to absolutely different demographics and one should cause no effect on the others performance.

Yes, Aria is for altogether different consumer base and Yeti will attract entirely different consumers. But Yeti will give serious fight to Outlander, Captiva , Pajero and possibly CR-V.

Fortuner is out of the above since it has created its own consumer base who may not shift to any other vehicle.

I don't see any future of YETI just like Crosssover Chevorlet (GM)Forester soft crossover are not acceptable in SUV segment.

Just a fad going to stay for 3-4  months to boost Skoda brand. There are  no sales expected out of super soft SUV.

It just staying in News just like Honda, Toyota by changing seat covers they advt. New exclusive/limited edition model...How patheticsmiley19.gif

@Tushar Yeti is not a 'super soft SUV'. It is acctually a more than capable off roader. As far as the sales go, the car undercuts all other SUVs by a huge margin making it a very lucrative product which is also very well built. Besides the A.S.S of Skoda, nothing can hold back the success of Yeti.

Yeti seems more of a second car , a lifestyle vehicle than a regular car.

There won't a be a large chunk of customer interested in Yeti in it's price range.  There are more better and capable vehicles at customer's disposal and the latest one is TATA Aria as well as Santa Fe. Even New Look Captiva is also on it's way and expected soon.
