Recommended Posts

It is expected to launched by July-Aug this year2010.

And will supposed to be coming with Yamaha FZ-series derived 125cc engine with Chassis based on the Gladiator's with almost same dimensions with Styling geting some New-gen bits to compete with Twister(only styling), Pulsar 135-LS, etc.

However, Its Official Production pics are not revealed yet except that from the Concept-based shown at AE-2010.

Will the SZ have disc brakes as options?

No' date=' It comes with Drum Brakes configuration only, for both Front & Rear, needed due to its Sensible pricing.

Doesn't the SZ look like the HH Achiever?

Yes, l'll bit due to its Commuter-ish Oriented design, but thanks to its Rear-Set Driver Foot-pegs, which brings some Relief to Overall Commuter theme.

Also, its Tail-lamp is one of the Best looking, across the Indian bikes.

The YBR 125 may fail to sell properly yet again, due to its similar gladiator-cum-fazer-all earlier yamaha 125 cc look. Also being priced at 47000 just a 2 grand lesser than the 150 is a little weird.... Even if the focus is to sell the higher capacity 150cc more, then there is no use of 125cc bike.

On the more important side though the SZ series was launched to battle other lower priced 150 cc's than the FZ, and give features like a kick starter, cheaper body panels, and a homely 150cc'ish look the indian biker has been used to. Hero Honda must move up its game. Cbz extreme should have a redux with lesser kit.

They're already having Age-Old Ambition turned 150cc Achiever in their Range lying Silently.

Only where they've to Re-do some work is on its Pricing & AD-Campaign, Rest it was just Refreshed few months back with Alloy Wheels & New HH favourite Graphics job.

But at least a front disc brake should have been provided. When bikes like splendor, glamour can come with disc brake why not this ? Is the drum size bigger than other bikes in the league ?
