Tata Indica - Marina

Recommended Posts

BTW FRG I read the interview in the mag with Ratan Tata and was quite impressed with what he said and if his ideas are implemented there might be hope for Tata Motors yet so dont sell those shares.

I have owned and driven VW golf diesels for over 10 years loved the pickup and fuel economy hated the vibration and noise at idle. When I saw the Daihatsu engine which some people fitted in the maruti 800 and the toyota 1N engines fitted in the 1000s and esteems I was immensely impressed  by the smoothess and the power which is why I say the Japs build great diesels.

Yeah Roomy, I read the Ratan Tata interview as well. He really comes across as a visionary and I loved the frankness with which he speaks. Its so refreshing. However, quality and technology is a moving target. So though there is no doubt that the new Tata cars will be much better, can they stand upto the small car rush that VW, Nissan are planning? Life might still be tough for Tata Motors.

I have been reading all that people have to say about Tata cars. Most of it may be true- but I can't think of another company that has evolved more since the first Indica was launched less than a decade ago.

I bought an Indigo marina exactly a year ago and I am extremely happy with it so far.

I am along drive person and frequently take off for weekends with the family and dog et al. I can carry my entire camping gear plus anything else my wife or son want to add on.

The car feels huge - is extremely well behaved on the highway and quite frugal with the fuel consumption (21 - 22 kmpl on the highway). Plus ride quality has been good.

Ok! so the Honds cars offer better build quality - but see the price diggerence. And this is one hell of a VFM car. Also the flexibility it allows me with the extra space. You really can carry your world with you.

It's as close to having a SUV at a fraction of the cost.

So nayone looking for a car that offers you flexibility in the city, on the highway and your camping trips - the Indigo Marina is definitely a great choice.

sorry for late reply...... actuaaly its a 2006aug model and since the delivery i had this sound coming from both left and right front door............ those people at work shop could not fix it they got a new door and painted it here in the paint shop............ the shade just did not match nor did the finishing......... so i kept my old door itself............... then they some how tried some welding and again sprayed the clear paint hear there............ even the roof paint had some crack which i took it to them twice and they still have not been able to do it right.............. FRG i agree that good value for what one spend but at this cost of visiting them again and again who has the time and this is just one part of the problem ifaced.......... the work man ship is really bad........... according to me its better to spend more and go for a better car............... Never ever buy a TATA.......... At starting they even told me that tata cars are like this prone to rattling and all............... when i put up a complaint with customer support was that i got this response............. of those people trying to repair.
