2012 Renault Logan ! Might be ??

Recommended Posts

With the current generation Logan sold off to Mahindra in India, Renault could look to bring the next generation in the coming years. Their product plan is different after the Mahindra-Renault partnership took off in a weird direction. Renault, earlier this year, decided to bring products into India through their own dealer network, and as per reports.

Renault might be tempted to slip in the next gen Logan under a different name.

The 2012 Logan will not be severely low cost like the current model. Features like LED daytime running lights, swept back headlamps, character lines along the doors, a curvy rear-end, engines re-worked for better fuel economy and fewer emissions are being talked about. The rendering shown here is heavily inspired by the Fluence, which is heading to India next year.

Looks very similar to the Linea. Even if it comes here it will be a stripped down version, sans many features, or it will get priced too high. Let's see how they are going to get their act together. After the Peugeot fiasco I think we will have to tread carefully with Renault.

Indian are most likely to mistake this for Optra Magnum when seen on road

Its looking very much like Scaled down version of its larger cousin -Renault Fluence.

@ arkboy
Is this a photoshop or a production model?

Its a Actual production model & Renault Engineers have specifically designed it for Farmers usage there, i.e to Carry pigs & potatoes(as revealed by its designer in an interview few years ago).

So be it. LOGAN now for indians and the upscale new logan nee fluence mini...? for the Indians who are prepared to pay for a french car. Renault should do some sorta pooja to rid off Indian car market side effects like Mahindra grabbing an entire product and the erstwhile peugeot 309, though not a renault but still frenchie being boobie trapped w/o dealers

Renault has been in the Indian market for some time directly or indirectly and now has probably learnt its lesson. The Dacia/Renault Logan has been successful in spite of its drab looks. The new design is a testament to the fact that looks do matter, after all. Even the cheapest car in the world, the Nano, never compromised on looks!
