Best tyres on Indian Roads

Recommended Posts

Hey all,

I wanted to buy MRF tyres for my Scorpio but everyone who i talk to tell me that Bridgestone is much better and more reliable for Indian Roads. What do you guys think?

My brother has been using Bridgestone and has no complaint on them for about 5 years.

Actually the Scorpio's suspension is not that good, that being the case, why going for hard rubber?

IMHO, the Geolander AT(Soft & Go anywhere) would be good for the Scorpio. But I have heard BF Goodrich is even better. If you are in tight budget, it has to be Apollo Hawks.

Geolanders AT are the ones which you should choose for your car. I have been riding on Yoko's for almost an year now & let me tell you they are impressive.

Hi Roshan

The stock Bridgestone Dueller H/T is enough for normal needs in the scorpio and it also lasts very long.

If you want that edge in grip, ride comfort ,traction in wet surfaces and a rugged look ,Yokohama Geolander A/T is the tyre to lookout for.

@bala, in what way is the suspension not good?

Anyways, PLEASE STICK TO BRIDGESTONE. The Stock Tyres are fantastic. Brilliant in both the wet and dry. I have been using it for more than 3 years now, both on my previous Scorpio and my current Bolero.

On bad roads, the Deuler used to give shocks to people inside the Scorpio when compared to a Safari. By putting the Geolander, it makes the ride soft & better braking. The Yoko IMHO is better than the BS in giving a plush ride, it has a auto cleaning facility, it brakes better, looks better.

On the downside, the life will be little less compared to a BS.
