driftpunk
Yea, I'll be going in for higher grade rubber mats or the fabric ones itself. The remote locking system cost me Rs.2500 (after discounts, as I had got all my car accessories from the same shop, original price = Rs.2900).driftpunk2010-12-20 14:59:
raghuscar
Hi friend , Last week i got my new Alto K10 VXi( Sunshine Copper). Just done 500 Kms. I am thinking of changing current wheels to Alloy and wider tyre. Can u suggest me what to buy. I tried to drive it 90+ and i lost my confidence with the steering .. its almost dead near 100 ... So if i change the tyre will the steering become heavier to drive 100+ .. i will mostly travel in the NH prefered to go between 80 to 120 Km/H. Suggetions required. driftpunk
-Raghu -- Yes, even I am planning to go for wider tyres when these wear out. I have already driven above 10000 km (85% highway driving) and a speed of 100 kmph is pretty normal for the stock tyres. I drive unhesistantly at 110 kmph, but not above that. Yes, the car needs bigger tyres for added stability and confident driving. If you are planning to upsize, go one step up, not more. And get Nitrogen in your tyres as personally I have felt that handling of the car improves with it. The Turanza's are the best bet these days. Look for them in the market. dr_nishu
Hi friend ' date=' Last week i got my new Alto K10 VXi( Sunshine Copper). Just done 500 Kms. I am thinking of changing current wheels to Alloy and wider tyre. [/quote'] Few days back I've driven Brand New Alto k10 VXi with 165/60-R13 shod on 6-Spoke Star Alloys & it looked Awesome with that. It was not more than a day Old & I've driven it at around 110kmph on NH at North's Coldest Dec31 night & It was just an In-Expressible experience then with her Powerful & Smooth 1000cc engine, Smooth & Slickest Gearshift. I enjoyed it alot.. @Drifty: As for City Driving & for l'll bit Outdoor usage, Stock 155/65 tyres are Good but If You wanna fun & wants to make your car look n feel Macho, then you can also upsize to 165/60-R13 Turanzas or Michelins with your current Alloys. But you might not get the same ~20kmpl FE figures & Cushy Ride from your K10.dr_nishu2011-01-04 19:43:
raghuscar
Can you post some photos of Alto K10 with Alloy wheels and tyre 165/60/R13 ? Just wanna to see how it looks ..
sb-alto
165/60 R13 will ruin ride quality. Already the ride quality has degraded due to that 155/65 tyre. Plus it would give speedo error. Better rubber is the only upgrade possible. Is Potenza GIII available for that size ?

tejasmehta990
The alloys look nice. Have you checked any body kits & graphics specially for Alto K10 ?
Khatkar
Drift Punk : Can you share the make & specifications of alloys you had in your Alto K10.
driftpunk
@Tejas -- Nope! I have not checked out any such things. Infact, I keep the car clear of any stickers or graphics. Even when I go for service, I tell the guy not to put his company name sticker at the back. @Khatkar - These are Lenso alloys. Specs - 13", 8-Spokes, Fully Chromed, Don't know anything else about them!! And they look great!!driftpunk2011-01-29 17:10:
driftpunk
The next service is @ 20,000 km but now I'm in Hyderabad. I wonder who's going to drive the 2 cars standing at home. I'm going to push dad to take the City to office and stop the office car service. Here's a recent pic of my Alto-K10.
TSiVipul
@Drifty: You don't need to be worried about the running of the cars, ask uncle to use his office car itself and about driving both the cars(City and Alto) then for which day we friends are here? Just send both the cars(in fact I'll receive them myself by going there)to me and I'll drive them hard and more for you and yes I'll get them serviced too.I know its a tempting deal but don't worry I won't take any money from you too.. How about the deal?
