@all;

I also agree with the fact that this Oncoming face-lift will be a bit early for i20 but Hyundai is more Interested just because;

-To Update their Global Range as per their 2010 plans & design Standards.

-This upcoming face-lift is going to be for the i20s destined both for India & Abroad, as the Recent face-lift was restricted for India only & International versions are already having that features from Day1.

-To Introduce Slightly more Green & Fuel Efficient 1.2l kappa2 VTVT engine in i20 range also.

-Their Upcoming Rival New Swift 2011.

O.T: Hats off to the Hyundai for Introducing the Hi-Tech VTVT(Variable Valve Tech) in Mass Hatchback(i10) segment, first in the Country.

I m bit confused after reading this thread and a thread regarding ix20.

Will  ix20 be the next i20 here or will hyundai do some cosmetic changes and launch i20 with 1.2 VTVT engine.If that happens can anybody update when the launch is tentatively schedule.

Hyundai doesn't have a solution for their classic "Steering Rattle" problem on both i10's and i20's. Also it seems that the top management does not pay any heed to any consumer complaint in regards with this issue.

I have seen couple of guys have gone to consumer court. Lets wait for the same.

IMHO, whats the use of launching newer models and face lift's if they are not able to solve MAJOR issue?

@amiti

Just think this kind of serious problem may even lead to a horrible accident. With this much steering complaints how hyundai is always preffered by people. Also I see people advising to buy a hyundai ignoring this serios flaw. Even one can do with the rattles of maruti, instead of risking life with such flaws.

Ashikawa, you are spot on. One guy from gujrat just escaped an accident. He has gone to consumer court.

 I will update you all regarding his hearings. Hyundai is not at all serious regarding this problem

This is a serious flaw in Hyundai vehicles. Since they are yet to master the art of EPS, they have this flaw. Due to this Hyundai has lost almost 50 customers from Pune.

I really feel that one should not put his/her hard earned monies in any hyundai product. By the way I also have i10 asta and dont want other fellow members to go through this.

In fact before deciding A-Star, I took test drive of i10 of my S-I-Law, witch had just done 2800 km. on odo and was pathetic to at least ( it was irde or something ), clutch was like, I was driving five years old car and above speed of 50 it was like "no don't push too further", ah how do people drive these cars ?, only GOD knows.

IMHO' date=' this would make the i20 very close looking to VernaRB hatch, which is IMO not as good looking as the current i20, so I think, this time the upgrade will be just for engine.

Since i20 is clocking Decent Sales nos. these days, So expect the change might be on the Looks front too, rather than Powerplant alone.

IMO, Its Interiors are already Saturated with Upgradations & doesn't have any corner left for upgradation.

& By anyhow its AC & Steering Rattling Issues get Resolved in its 2011 version.
