New Fiesta Prices (Ex Delhi)
Style 823' date='500 (P) 927,200 (D)

Trend 877,200 (P) 977,200 (D)

Titanium 917,200 (P) 1017,200 (D)

Titanium+ 942,200 (P) 1042,200 (D)[/quote']

I think it won't be able to achieve numbers with this pricing. Not priced well. Will need a price correction in future.

Agree with you 100%. Ford has not done another Figo, which many of us expected. The prices are higher than the new Fluidic Verna's prices.

Here's a comparison of the prices:

Fluidic Verna Prices

New Fiesta Prices

PETROL

PETROL

1.4L(Base)

6.99

Style 8,23,500 (P)

1.6L(Base)

7.64

Trend 8,77,200 (P)

1.6L SX

8.24

Titanium 9,17,200 (P)

1.6L SX O

8.94

Titanium+ 9,42,200 (P)

1.6L SX O AT

9.64

DIESEL

DIESEL

1.4L D (Base)

8.09

Style 9,27,200 (D)

1.6L D (Base)

8.74

Trend 9,77,200 (D)

1.6L D SX

9.34

Titanium 10,17,200 (D)

1.6L D SX O

10.04

Titanium+ 10,42,200 (D)

1.6L D SX O AT

10.74

The manual versions themselves are so expensive. It was mentioned in some posts that the dual clutch automatic version may be launched around the end of the year, in the petrol version. Can't imagine how much more that version would cost.

The Verna 1.6 SX O manual costs 8.94L, while the Fiesta Titanium Plus manual costs 9.42L. So the automatic would easily add another 50-60k to this price, which would make it more than 10L ex showroom.

Warm regards,

Venkat

Just see the chart for comparison with VW VENTO........... Ridiculous prices indeed. It looks like they have chosen their fate to repeat mistakes done by Honda, though Honda has great products. But for fiesta its a big NO.

Even though the product in itself is truly world class, Ford definitely does NOT have the brand value to carry such an expensive product.

The top model prices be what they may be but the lowest model should have been priced cheaper if Ford wanted to attract in customers. The base model being so expensive will work against Ford for sure. I dont see big numbers.

This is simply ridiculous. smiley6.gif

9.27 lacs for base 90PS diesel is highly unjustified in anyway.

Earlier i thought that ford will price it very competitively to chunk a big pie from its main arch rival -The 128PS fluidic Verna.

But it seems that now they've lost the innings now.

Over to Ford India's marketing team to lure some customers now.

Wow,that's the Ford style of committing suicide, simple as it sounds:-

Go to the market->Feature a great product->show dreams to enthusiasts->Then price it rediculously so that they become niche products->your sales charts are dead.....THE BLUE OVAL,WHICH HAS FORD WRITTEN INSIDE IT IS SIMPLY ROCKING.

With its prices, the diesel Fiesta is trying its best to intrude into the Cruze territory,a unique competition there!TSiVipul2011-07-14 12:19:42

Also with Honda reducing prices of City by a considerable margin, Ford will find the going hard.

Figo set a benchmark pricing & was an instant hit. Its another story that Figo is a generation old product. With the pricing of new Fiesta, Im reminded of days when Ford launched the Escort in India. Sure the dealership network has grown, Fords are less troublesome to maintain but the core concept looks the same. Hope it doesn't share its fate with Escort!

Flvour of the season is "cut prices", Fiesta stands at an opposite pole!

It could have been clear segment leader in case ford launched with the price of 7-10 Lakh range.I am sure they will not cross 1000/Month with this price.Actually we all expected FIGO kind of pricing strategy from Ford but they have not delivered this time.I think Vento will continue as segment leader for time being,Verna and City will fight for 2nd place and Fiesta will remain 5th place behind SX4 upto Skoda launches RAPID.Now let us wait for Rapid launch which is going to happen end of 2011 or early 2012.

Another bad bit about this New Fiesta is the absence of Beige combination interiors which makes it truly unacceptable for this price & segment.

All the mess in this segment will automatically lead to rise of Optra MAGNUM 2.0 TCDi, Vento & City again, previously which've faced their declined demands.

If Ford had this pricing strategy in mind, they should skipped "Fiesta" tag because this is going to be the biggest hurdle in its way.

Too difficult for brand "Fiesta" to go so Premium..! Fiesta means 7-8L bogey!

Finally selected the kinetic blue colour in titanium diesel variant.

Delivery date will be told after 2 days, may by 2week of august.

My personal opinion is that it has been overpriced atleast by 50000,but still i need that car which will keep me happy whenever i drive it because of its brilliant ride and handling which is my absolute priority.

Ford india site is not showing the ground clearance of new Fiesta. Something is wrong, I guess.<?:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

Yesterday I visited the Showroom and Sales guy told me that it has 154 mm of ground clearance. But he insisted that its under body  can not be scrapped easily on speed breakers because its suspension is built like that.

If it is true then then Ford has done a blundersmiley3.gif. Country like India where road conditions are not well, a car should have enough ground clearance.

Took test drive of new ford fiesta petrol. The steering is amazing.

We can turn the steering with one finger in city driving and it adds weight nicely with increase in speed.though i couldn't drive it beyond 80 kmph because of city traffic.

Ride quality is nice.

Cabin very quiet.

Power delivery is linear.no sudden surge in power.

Ac quiet effective.

Road visibility is superb.

Braking is good.

Gear shift is absolute beauty, with short and precise throw.

Seats are very soft and supportive, leg space is decent, but three persons with heavy built is absolute no at rear, moderately built persons can be fitted easily.

Found horn lever a bit tight.

Couldn't check up the cruise control, since the vehicle was not registered temporarily can't take it far.

Diesel vehicle was not available for test drive.

As per other reviews the diesel is the fun to drive.now thinking that if the petrol was so good to drive then think about the diesel.since i have booked the diesel i am waiting eagerly for the vehicle.

Sales person told me that he will confirm the delivery date on 30th of this month.hope i get my vehicle in august itself.

Prices announced are a big-big downer. All my initial euphoria & excitement has died down before even having a look of the car in flesh. Hope it really impresses during TD.

@Bornfree:

For Fiesta, you can rest assured about the TD pleasure and right now its the only thing on which the Fiesta will be selling(if it sells)because the ride and handling benchmark which was already set by the older Fiesta is going to be raised up by the newer one(As read in ACI magazine).

But what to do of a cabin which looks cramped if we consider the segment where it is placed.

Even I too have removed this car from my desire list.
