creativebala 178 Report post Posted October 5, 2011 ARAI is just another corrupt government agency and hyundai's claims always seems to be multiplied by 2.All they have is a nice looking interiors everything else is inferior to marutis +1, I always wonder what's there in a hyundai to sell that much? Is it only interiors and exteriors( now ) contributes a car? @nishu What I am more concerned is, Hyundai's mindset of not accepting their own mistake. It's not whether it rattles or breaks, but if Hyundai admits and comes up with solution in open, that could boost our confidence level. Now I fear Hyundai next to Skoda. rameshbabu.n 6 Report post Posted October 6, 2011 Went to Hyundai showroom in Tirupati to have a look at the Eon. It is not placed in the showroom. They are in the store. A total of 11 Eon cars, in different versions and colors. Right from era version to magna to sportz all are there. White, grey, silver and maroon-red colored cars. A couple of them are placed right next to Verna, which looks like Eon's big brother. Sat in two cars. Felt very comfy and airy. More cabin space. Good visibility. Could not do a TD as they are not permitted till 13th Oct. The rates are being declared on Monday (i.e 10/10/2011). I spent about half an hour there talking to all the guys and taking a closer look at all versions. Boot looks really spacious and better/more than even i10. I personally liked magna version silver colored Eon.

rameshbabu.n 6 Report post Posted October 6, 2011 ...IMHO' date=' Rs.2.3 lacs will be the price for its base D-lite version with top-end nearing 3.2 lacs(All ex-showroom prices). [/quote']  The rates shall be available with all dealers by Monday (10/10/2011). The ex-showroom prices are `expected' between 3.2 L for Era, 3.5 L for Magna and 3.8 L for Sportz.  The black door handles on all versions except Sportz version, does look decent only on white and silver colors. Dark grey and red colors did not gel well with the black door handles.  The Hyundai management may spring a surprise or two on that date, as did Mahindras with their killer pricing of XUV500.  The dealer (and his 4 other sales guys) expect maximum bookings for Magna Optional which offers a ICE deck with USB/Aux. Even this version comes with black door handles.

Crazy Doc 0 Report post Posted October 7, 2011 The title of this thread is wrong, this is a Santro rival not a threat to Alto, yes there may be a non a/c,ps model priced close to Alto but that's not going to sell.Hyundai like Honda have become arrogant and I don't think they are going to price it close to Alto. esteem 0 Report post Posted October 7, 2011 I believe this vehicle will not be rev happy with the AC switched on. Also Hyundai will never ever pit it in the league of rear 3.80L ex-showroom. Hyundai, will never ever take a risk of pitting a 800 CC 57 bhp engine in the midst of formidable competition which comes in all shapes and sizes with bigger and better specifications. abhineet 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2011 Just visited the showroom and saw Eon Magna and Sportz in Flesh or should I say Metal. Looks good, not a baby i10 at all. Rear seat is spacious with decent leg room, Driver seat had enough space (im 6'1) though I felt the seating is a bit low. TD was not available. prices are expected to come out by evening. Crazy Doc 0 Report post Posted October 13, 2011 Eon as expected is priced a bit too high,India may be the only country were Hyundai charges premium for it's low quality cars covered with fluidic plastics. The best name for this car is EGO,Hyundai India has too much of that. There may be some ***** who may pay premium for the design and plastics but for me this just another reason to hate Hyundai.
