rssh 59 Report post Posted June 30, 2011 'Ricciardo to replace Karthikeyan' Thursday 30th June 2011 'Ricciardo to replace Karthikeyan' 1 of 1 Toro Rosso test driver Daniel Ricciardo will reportedly replace Narain Karthikeyan at Hispania Racing from the British GP onwards. According to reports from Australian television and repeated on speedcafe.com, Ricciardo will take over from Karthikeyan at Silverstone in a "loan" deal agreed with Red Bull. Ricciardo has filled the role of Toro Rosso's third and reserve driver this season and has taken part in Friday practices at grand prix weekends, replacing either Jaime Alguersuari or Sebastien Buemi. This led to reports at the Australian could take over one of their race-seats permanently from the mid-way point of the Championship. However, instead it seems he is moving over to Hispania Racing and will partner Tonio Liuzzi from the British GP onwards. Neither Toro Rosso nor Hispania Racing have confirmed the rumours. source www.planetf1.com
rssh 59 Report post Posted July 1, 2011 Now it has been confirmed that Ricardo will take Naren seat at Hispania for the rest of the season except for the Indian GP . I think the move has been very thoughtful as Naren wan't performing to the expect level as Vitantonio .
