Toyota Camry NOW DRIVEN!!

Recommended Posts

The 2012 Camry seems to possess heavily redesigned front styling with a more Japanese flavour. The headlights are stretched back to the wheel arches which add a sense of width, and there is a strong kink on the headlight.

Wonder what would have happened if this crap was done by a Tata or Mahindra. This thing looks like an 80's car, bland just got blander. The videshi fan brigade won't criticize this but watch what is going to happen when W201 (which is a million times better looking)gets launched.Even if someone say that this is awesome I won't be surprised.

Toyota has manufactured and sold 15 million Camry

models across 100 countries since it debuted way back in 1983. It's a

number that's nearly unfathomable. If all of those polite four-doors

were still roaming the earth, there'd be one for every man, woman and

child in Virginia, Maryland and Washington D.C. combined, and you'd

still have a almost a million vehicles left over. Even more eye-widening

is Toyota's claim that of the Camry models built and sold over the last

15 years, 90 percent are still happily enduring a daily commute on

nearly every corner of the planet. By sheer volume and longevity, the

Camry is nothing short of an engineering and manufacturing wonder.

Almost by default, the Camry has grown to become the vehicle by which

all other mid-sized creations must measure themselves, and over the past

two years, Ford, Hyundai, Kia and Volkswagen

have unveiled products designed specifically to lure buyers from the

Toyota model's swollen ranks. In response, Toyota City has turned out

the seventh-generation Camry

It comes Nowhere near to its predecessor, especially interms of its looks, stance & overall butch-iness Macho feel.

Instead it feels like a Generation old version, as others also pointed out.

Don't know where the Japanese manufacturers are thinking now.

The car in the first post look grown up and mature ,than this red looking funky car .It looks like a grown up Altis and the red colour and tail lamp don't suit it at all.

Personally, I liked the car before and like it all the more now! It looks more futur-istic although the old one was not less than a 10/10. I am yet to read the long post by DD above, but am having an optimistic frame of mind.

Toyota Ukraine has released the skinny on what some other parts of the world can expect to see from the 2012 Toyota Camry.

It's impossible for us to say who, besides Russia, will be getting this

Camry variant, but we do clearly spot a front fascia that's a good bit

different than what's available here in the land of the free. The lower

air intake boasts a slimmer profile for less of an open-jaw look.

Likewise, the rear valance has gone under the knife with additional

detailing that abandons the rounded profile of the American car.

The final package may be a bit more refined in style, though

mechanically the two sedans remain more or less identical. Buyers in the

old country can lay their hands on the same engine options as their

American counterparts. Those include a 2.5-liter inline four-cylinder

good for 18 horsepower and a 3.5-liter V6 with a snappy 268 horsepower.

Toyota calls the vehicle a "business sedan," and according to our Google

translator, prices start at $33,050.

This thing won't change Camry's sales figures in India. This is looks like the big brother of Etios.Previously Toyota's were just bland but now they have become bland and boring. This and the new Innova are a step back from their earlier avatars. No one buys or will buy Camry in India so not going to say much about this piece of crap. But the forthcoming Innova is going to get affected due to this bland to blander design strategy.Already the blind trust on Toyota's quality have begun to fall apart due to the 'q class' quality on Crapios.

The new Camry has uncanny resemblance to Acura TL and interiors look like from a previous generation premium hatchback sold in Europe.

Toyota has messed up a good car and design look too flashy for a car sold to conservative buyers

This camry is now spotted in India, so it should be months away.

If priced near Accord, this should blow the segment. So now ball is in Toyota's court, whether to price it sensibly or price it like before and make it fail.

Toyota is not even competing in this segment. The previous camry is enough proof.

But in case they change their mind, they have superb competition in the Skoda superb and ofcourse the accord.

Give it a diesel and see the death knell for accord, new sonata, jetta, superb.

The design looks sportier and advanced an even more competitive price tag. I have never had any issues with Toyota Camry. The advantages of the Chevy Camry over the Jetta are not only that you get a bigger car for the same money.
