TAUREAN CZAR 0 Report post Posted September 17, 2011 New Sumo Grande..oops..TATA GRANDE caught totally undisguised ! TATA has made multiple appempts to push the TATA SUMO GRANDE in to the market. But has met again and again with a lukewarm response. But due to the SUMO tag it got many less takers. Now TML has modified the vehicle with many upgrades and was found totally undisguised by our colleagues on oncars which I have posted them here. What seen here is the Sumo & Martk II names dropped and also new decals on the exterior and refreshed interiors. But seriously TML should have given the car a totally new dashboard to hold a double din system and some features like ABS to attract people as on the XYLO from M&M. sb-alto 21 Report post Posted September 17, 2011 I hope this is nor any special edition, like that of xylo and innova. There is hardly any major changes. Or is this a cost cutting model ?
Crazy Doc 0 Report post Posted September 17, 2011 In India we have more car forums than car models,so even when a car gets a new sticker job it's big news. Don't understand what's new in this other than the new sticker and may be a couple of chromium strips. When there are too much people to brag about too little cars these sort of things gets hyped.A similar case is that of the Safari. TSiVipul 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2011 +1 to Crazy Doc,there is actually nothing at all new in this Grande except some stickers and chrome touches but still it has created a small hype.
tejasmehta990 4 Report post Posted September 18, 2011 Body graphics looks similar to Indica e-V2. Probably this is just some special edition with no major upgrades or it is just regular Grande MKII with new body graphics.
khatbhej 0 Report post Posted September 18, 2011 Another problem with us Indians is that we fit a spoiler here and a couple of fog-lights & alloys there and we call our cars modified. Maybe this is one reason why we gossip about meagre changes in new models. Chrome strips, minor headlamp alterations and body graphics are huge news to us. For example, the new Swift is nothing to write pages upon. Yet, more has been written on that car than Abhinav Bindra. The car companies take advantage of this mentality and make c****yas out of us. All these new edition, limited edition, celebration edition and crystal edition cars, they are a bunch of stock clearance crap with a little more make-up. IMO, the only good thing that happened to Indian auto media was the Tata Nano. The whole world was craving for news that we had first-hand. khatbhej2011-09-18 07:47:
