Autocar India's new Website!

The redesign is certainly better than the last one.

Although the somewhat startling amounts of google ads that have been put up on the website are ruining some of the user experience. An example being the polls have been pushed way down out of site because there are not one but two ad boxes above it.

A lot of additional space is being wasted with the FB plug in being way too big and there being about 3 or 4 different banners promoting the magazine subscriptions.

IMHO the over all look and feel of the ACI website has improved and as far as people pointing out adds all across, it shows increasing popularity of the forum, as more and more cos are keen to promote their products through the same. smiley32.gif

The website does look fantastic but in old website design  just a casual glance was enough to bring you up to date with all auto related information unlike the current design.

BTW , when will we have new forum look - it looks very dated.

Well there are some small issues like pop ups and no accessibility to the forum using the mobile version of the site, rest everything is good and as Bornfree has already mentioned is just like a Diwali gift but what's really bad(in my views)is that our favorite part of the website(of-course our FORUM)is still looking old and somewhat dull in front of the website:-

1)Some more colors and background design is needed.

2)That Polo now needs to be replaced by something like a Panda or a combo of many cars which changes with time.

Slightly OT , still posting here.

I always felt that ACI, while reviewing cars on their website needs to add more pictures of the car. Photos in the magazine seems adequate enough but while the same review comes on website, there is only a few side profiles of the car.

If photo security is the issue then ACI can watermark these too. There is serious need of more photos, like legroom, dashboard, boot space, and some unique photos of the car.

This design looks great! But, the part I am missing which I like in the old design, is the that top 6 or 7 news items, with the latest hot news which has the relevant photo. Currently, it is in the right side, not so prominent. The rotating graphics more prominent. Visually appealing, but, I liked the old style news items, which at one sight gives a glimpse of the latest news, quickly. Neverthless, the design is more professional and neater and full marks.
