Recommended Posts

I want to buy a sedan and would like to know which is a better car out of Honda city 1.5 VMT and Hyundai verna 1.6SX VTVT , although the features are more in verna but i would like to know which is better regarding performance, handling, fuel efficiency, after sales service, spares and maintainence cost etc.

If you are considering Petrol, City is ahead of Verna in almost every account other than features. Even in features, it is not missing anything critical.

I own a Honda City and my city mileage in Delhi area hovers between 13-14 which is better than even what i20 achieves, Verna's story would be even worse.

Get City, you will develop such affinity that next you would think of buying a car, you will look first at a Honda

@ Dr.Husain

Performance:

Is mostly attributed to top speeds would you like to know that?

Handling:

Honda is the king here , though verna is not that bad either.

Fuel Efficiency:

ARAI Tested : 16.8 (City) Vs 17.1 (Verna)

After Sales Service :

Depends on the region you are located in.

Spares:

Both have comparable spares

Maintainance:

Both require very low maintainance

Though Hyundai is feature packed and a value for money proposition , Honda would give you snob value which a Hyundai cannot.

PS:

If you are looking for a Petrol around this price range : I personally would go for the CITY

If you are looking for a Diesel around this price range : I personally would go either Vento / Verna / Rapid

Also :

Honda is soon to launch its DIESEL CITY
