Hersch 4 Report post Posted June 10, 2013 Hi PrancingHorse! Although I am pretty late to stumble upon this post but it’s a joy to see your love and care for this machine. We too used to own a 2001 Honda City 1.5 Exi and it was truly one of the best cars I have ever driven. Your drive also looks in a very good condition even after completing 11 years and the fact that you are still willing to invest in it proves that you are very passionate about this car. Wishing you all the best and looking forward to the pics post the repairs are complete. Cheers!
PrancingHorse 1 Report post Posted June 10, 2013 Thanks Hersch. Yes the old City is still on of the best cars out there. The car is back home now and I will take some shots and upload here soon. Actually want to give it a foam bath as well.

cityexiat 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2013 Hi FlyingSpur, your car looks lovely in gold! I just got myself a type-1 AT Exi with 84k on the ODO yesterday. It is a 13 year old car but still drives like someone much younger. It is mechanically sound whereas the body has started showing signs of ageing. I will be getting the car striped down and repainted in early 2014. This car will be used only on a 60-70 km radius and I hope with proper care that it will last me for a few more years. cityexiat 0 Report post Posted September 1, 2013 Oh...sorry for the typo... I guess it happens with having too many windows of different forums open at the same time! I will get to writing an ownership report hopefully in the near future. For now, all I can say is I drove close to 50 kms yesterday in bumper to bumper traffic and my left leg was jumping with joy at not having to press the dreaded clutch. It is my first driving experience with an AT car. I know this might sound as an idiotic question but I have got to ask. Is the button on the gear lever meant only for being able to move the stalk when the vehicle is not running? (e.g. from "P" to "N")
PrancingHorse 1 Report post Posted September 4, 2013 I know this might sound as an idiotic question but I have got to ask. Is the button on the gear lever meant only for being able to move the stalk when the vehicle is not running? (e.g. from "P" to "N") You have to press the button everytime when you have to move the stalk from P to any position or back. It is basically lock type thingy. However you can shift from N to D and vice versa without pressing the button.

Also as mentioned in another thread got the Brembo brake pads fitted which cost me 2700/- inclusive of courier. Did an oil change as well last month with a fresh diet of Petronas fully synthetic oil. Got the automatic transmission oil changed as well. Some pics

rssh 59 Report post Posted May 19, 2014 Damn that one of the nicest looking sleeper car and I would still buy that VTec variant just for the raw power. Also did you change both the disc and drum pad, also is this a regular brake pad or a ceramic one. My OE brake pads faded in 20k and left lot of brake dust but the replacement are still going strong @ 45k. Do share the contact detail of the brake pad supplier, I pinged them on FB but they aren't responsive enough.
