dr_nishu
Recently spied is the Ford EcoSport's mid-variant. EcoSport shown in the pics, is having Wheel covers(even concentric circle of rim in black can be seen inside it), instead of Alloy wheels, obviously to compliment the lower pricing for base & mid variants. Seems that the Ford India is production ready with multiple variants for multiple configurations. (Source: IAB)
F30
I tell you what , these wheel covers are looking stunning IMO More BUTCH than the 4 spoke wheel design of the top end alloys

librankur
great pictures yet again , the more i see it the more i fall in love with it. In the pictures i see that the rear bumber light inserts are illuminated , are these actual led lights or are they just reflectors shining in the dark. sachins
I think the starting price in the mailer of 7 lac is inline with expectation. Agree with F30, those wheels covers do look good unlike Duster's which look ugly. librankur, those rear bumper red inserts seems to be just reflectors. from the photo showing chill metallic color, it's pretty evident that those can't be lights as otherwise even tail lamp clusters light would have come on. For me chill metallic color should be the stand out one, given that it's the same color shade which currently comes in new Fiesta sedan.
librankur
I say this because their seem to be two set of reflectors then , one is completely RED ,the other one ,the one i am talking about ,it has a red overhang and a white face to it. librankur
Going by the picture it would be not that hard to choose a winner. Duster may just loose its long booking trails if Ford comes out with its game plan with the Ecosport , anyone listening , do a camparo now. Still cant see what are they waiting for , New Year probably.

F30
Found a pic online of the 2010 Ford Ecosport doing some more than mild off-roading; ^ will our 2012/13 version (4wd variant) handle this, i think hell yeah Note : This is the 1st gen ECOSPORT that was developed in early to mid 2000's for markets such as Brazil & other developing nations & was based on FORD FUSION platform Whereas, 2012 Ecosport is 2nd generation but based on the new Fiesta platform
CarCrazyASTL
Should we wait for Ford to release the brochure or you guys are making your own! Really man, if we count no. of ecosport's photo taken in india, it must be in few thousands! never seen such enthusiasm before launch for any car! It's craze is unmached! librankur
F30 If this 2010 design was coming our way i would feel that DUSTER could have an even chance but knowing very well in terms of the design whats in store for us , DUSTER would soon be the NEW car that got OLD ahead of time. Rightly said, Duster is an old product no doubt. Global markets will see a facelift coming their way early next year & we got the car like about 6 months back. Considering facelifts are launched once in 3 years , that means that the DUSTER is almost 3 years old product sent late to India
librankur
Hard for me to say anything about the exact age of the vehicle so dont know if i will go with the 3 years tag. Anyways, its 4*4 offering , currently available in Morocco is the next highly anticipated launch in the UK where it would retail around the 10K mark againt the Yeti that retails for 15K , a major boast to Dacia/Renault
scorpionragha
When i was browsing the interet, i came across this article. I was thinking whether to go for ecoboost engine or go for the tried and tested tdci engine when i book the vehicle, but now i am really confused after reading this article. http://www.examiner.com/article/ford-1-6l-ecoboost-engine-fire-investigation-expands-to-europe. AMG1
Eager to see the produciton version of the EcoSport to finally hit the Indian roads soon. Renault by then should surely work out something with Duster, maybe an updated to the interiors or a price reduction and a facelift.

librankur
This engine option takes the price bracket even higher , will not find these many buyers , the 4*4 will suffer a similar fate.Sales with not be that great, though its always good to have an option. Try calling the Renault Toll Free number and inquire about 4*4 , they havent even heard its coming , its that strange.
