dr_nishu
Nice one scorpion. Btw, congrats for booking the Ecoboost EcoSport. I've also set my eyes on the same, wish it would've been priced sensibly.
MaheshS
Ecosport is certainly creating waves. If priced nicely it will be a huge success but if they price it in the same bracket as the Duster in any or every variant then it will not make sense at all. More so, it will have to face stiff competition. I am a bit biased because I own a Duster and I loved spending every penny for it because it is a car worth the price. BonFre
Thoroughly disappointed with Ford, local dealer tells me there's a Booking cancellation charge of Re.3000/- & that's not all, they've made it mandatory to buy Accessories worth 30,000/- along with the vehicle. So now we know why Ford delayed the launch, they were finalizing on these gimmicks to extract money from consumers. Product is yet to be launched & this is the state, what will be the situation post launch, God save the consumers! To down with Eco-Sport & Ford, what an anti-climax! Did you check by calling Ford if this is dealer level gimmicks? With so much hype built up around this product there is every chance of dealers taking advantage at every possible level. Ford should take care that they don't commit same mistake as Renault did in handling their dealers when Duster was launched. Renault had the advantage of moving first in this segment and was able to get away with it but that's not going to be the case now with Ford. BonFre
Did you check by calling Ford if this is dealer level gimmicks? No I didn't. I feel if a customer has to run to the company each & every time for every small little thing, its not worth it to invest in such a brand. If the Company is really concerned, it should gather such information from Social Media & pull up its dealers. If they are not doing so, they probably are hand-in-glove with the dealers. BonFre
That's quite a shocking price, hatchbacks and sedans below 10L are all in trouble. Yeah indeed, killer pricing! Diesel variant would be ~1L more, so ~ 6.59L
sachins
Yeah indeed, killer pricing! So Homzard Sorabjee scooped the prices correctly when he said ES will start from 5L onwards Any update on pricing of other variants. Ford seemed to be in hurry to wrap up the launch or there is something more to this?
charan911
I'm sure everyone is exited with the Ecosport launch , since know the prices are out, can you help me know what engine they would offer in base petrol??? If it is not eco boost then the 1.5 would attract higher taxes pushing the on-road price very high! is it a publicity gimmick ???
dr_nishu
Superb pricing by Ford India. Swift, i20 & Duster will be in trouble, for sure.
PrancingHorse
Ford did its homework and came up with a killer pricing. Now it seems that the long wait was worth it. Cars across many segment need to start thinking again I also read a tweet by NDTV saying that car stocks had dipped on the stock market after the EcoSport pricing was announced. Sstar
559000/- start Absolutely killer pricing. Game on - Swift/Dzire, i20, Polo, Duster Amaze, Vento, Sunny, Etios, Manza, etc etc etc....and so on. Yeah indeed, killer pricing! Diesel variant would be ~1L more, so ~ 6.59L Duster should start seeing nighmares now. I also read a tweet by NDTV saying that car stocks had dipped on the stock market after the EcoSport pricing was announced. It has to happen, Ford did allowed some companies to first let them launch their product and analyse their strategy so Ford can announce their strategy after that. Also, earlier, all forums were flooded with questions why Ford is delaying the launch for more than 10 months....but now it can be said ..."Well planned move Ford".
