Things to look out for while buying a bike?

Recommended Posts

Hello Bikers,

For the first time in life, I would love to say that I am looking to buy a bike and its thrilling me.

Well, I know a lotta names of bikes, few simple features like the mileage or the economy, looks etc,

But I'd love to learn in detail of bike specifications that many people talk about. I take the reference links where I can read things.

Clearly, I am a starter and I looking forward to investigate before I buy something.

Last thing I'd to mention is, practically my dream bike is FZ (Well, I can say Ducati, Hayabusa, Ninja, Bullet or Harley Davidson but that's not a dream, its out of reach :D ). But do not know a thing about anything apart from mileage and looks.

Please help me in this.

Thanks,

Girish

But do not know a thing about anything apart from mileage and looks.

FZ got segment best looks and segment worst FE, since you know that, lets talk about the rest.

Now the Pros

Wider tyres, so best braking in its segment

Good weight distribution, so awesome handling, you can play in roads.

Awesome ergonomics for driver.

Smooth engine.

Good low end power, very useful in city traffic.

Awesome suspension setup.

Now the cons

Top speed too low, the new Discover 100 could overtake this easily.

Back tyres will last only few months and costs a bomb.

Rear seat is for punishing others.

Bike too low.

No good looking bull bar available.

Now its too common on road.

Spare parts might be an issue, because they change the color theme entirely every year.
