CarCrazyASTL 16 Report post Posted February 16, 2013 (edited) These are the first spy shots with the next generation of the Chevrolet Cruze. Chevrolet has started testing the next-gen Cruze which will be launched in fall next year and will go on sale as a 2015MY. It will be the first model based on GM's new platform which could be called D2XX. This new architecture will underpin approximately 2.5 million compact cars and crossovers by 2018. General Motors previously stated the new Cruze will have "new exterior and interior styling, improved fuel economy and an improved interior compartment and more storage space." This all-new platform will be used for the next generation of the Chevrolet Volt, Chevrolet Equinox, Opel Astra and others as well. There were some statements from GM officials, saying that it'll have 'Impala' inspired styling, but looking at this pics, it's not at all looking like the Impala! Do share your views on this! vr.46 1 Report post Posted February 16, 2013 Wish they stop getting engineered cars from Daewoo and ask Opel to make something for this platform. The Cruze simply cannot rival any german/European C+/D Segment passenger car. Sure the diesel is the only thing they get right, but once you "sit" in the car you'l immediately realise it's an Asian car (not even close to Japs build quality). Far from the Impala it looks like a toyota prius from the back.
F30 101 Report post Posted February 18, 2013 Cruze was a game changer in the North American market as well as Indian market. & im sure this will take it far ahead As a CRUZE user i know the capabilities of this machine. Cant wait ...
BHP-junkie 2 Report post Posted February 19, 2013 Cruze is the ultimate car in terms of styling, power and gadgets. It was big lump in the automobile industry as it changed the definition of power in the sedan segment specially in that budget. Though personally, i prefer the old cruze. This test mule, is nowhere near Impala.

creativebala 178 Report post Posted June 14, 2013 Woooooooooooow, But can't digest the fact that Enjoy is going to stand next to this in every showroom. In those days, seeing a GM showroom itself a beauty. When we went to buy our Spark, these were the line up Captiva, Optra, Aveo, Spark..... Later it was Beat, Cruze, Spark, Captiva........ Now, Sail, UVA, Enjoy, Beat, Captiva.... Just feel like puking in front of Showroom.

Shashank_GTO 9 Report post Posted October 10, 2013 WOW!!! Expecting this one to be one hell of a looker!!! Interior looks modern and the exterior is just eye catching!! Especially the one pic posted by F30, design is the same as in the pic by Librankur but the colour and photographic affects used makes the car look so much more futuristic!! Chevrolet has taken its powerful and good looking sedan and made it even better. The game has surely gone up a notch. Will have to wait and watch as to how it fares when compared to its arch rivals, the New Skoda Octavia and the Current Skoda Laura.

Jithesh 0 Report post Posted March 31, 2014 I think this design is leaning towards elegance and moving away from the sporty concept-car like looks of the current Cruze. Latest car designs have become more conservative and the newer models are looking a generation old rather than new, like the new SX4 (and the new Celerio). Manufacturers are playing safe it seems and they don't want to try on radical designs but rather have safer designs which appeal to a wider audience. Another example is the new Grand i10 which has a more sober look compared to the previous i10 which was revolutionary. Global recession has taken its toll on car designs as well, I guess. No doubt this model looks good, but it has lost that character of the current Cruze, which made it immediately noticeable.
