Ramesh_Joseph 0 Report post Posted March 6, 2013 Tata needed to bring in at least a top end version with Power steering option. Hardly anyone these days like to drive without it and would have gone a long way in improving the image of the Nano.
Sstar 77 Report post Posted March 7, 2013 (edited) Tata needed to bring in at least a top end version with Power steering option. Hardly anyone these days like to drive without it and would have gone a long way in improving the image of the Nano. I dont know what value this choice inclusion would have made into Nano as the steering is very lite because of rear engine placement. In fact, in the current scenario, if they add PS then it would make this car the softest steering wheeled car in India and so would not be good for driving dynamics. CarCrazyASTL 16 Report post Posted March 9, 2013 Nano is bettering day-by-day! But it'ld be interesting to see how tata manages to balance all this goodies with it's biggest USP, ie. price!
elangon 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2013 Tata has to first ensure that the Nano has a rear hatch that can be operated. They can bring in more trim levels which are better equipped. Diesel version is another area of interest to everyone.
F30 101 Report post Posted April 8, 2013 Saw the NANO DIESEL in flesh on Saturday on my visit to Tata Motors plant @ pimpri. Infact saw the car so close that the rear bonnet was popped up & could see the heart ^ no confusion here because i was told it was the NANO DIESEL The car i saw was wearing a new purple shade (should be offered in the upcoming facelift versions) Also saw a couple of more Nano diesels at the plant which were undergoing testing at the Pimpri plant. The Diesel definitely sounds better than the current petrol on offer. Expected launch date : Dec 2013 - Jan 2014

PrancingHorse 1 Report post Posted May 23, 2013 Here are a couple of more pics of the 2013 Tata Nano facelift spotted testing. The 2013 Tata Nano refresh will boast of usage of chrome at various places starting from the chrome strips at the bonnet lip as well as the tip of the rear hatch. The rear bumper has also been redesigned and features an extra ventilation source which should help in better cooling of the rear mounted engine. The car also gets a new set of wheel covers and a new blue color. What remains a mystery still is the question of the rear hatch. A few online reports claim that it is openable in this new version but neither do we see an opening mechanism (keyhole) or any hydraulic support to pull it up. AMG1 0 Report post Posted May 23, 2013 New style rear bumper is welcome but for me, those chorme-patti's are not! Tata must launch a sporty variant of the Pappaya orange colour I feel, with blackened alloys and black roof.
PrancingHorse 1 Report post Posted May 23, 2013 Im not a chrome fan myself but lot of Indian buyers love chrome. Infact the chrome pattis remind me of the Padmini days when we used to put them on the cars
librankur 39 Report post Posted May 31, 2013 Biggest thing anticipated in the 2013 Nano Refresh is the open-able boot. The chrome additions and the cosmetics changes are secondary. Another June launch contender.Paves way for the CNG , Diesel variant.
creativebala 178 Report post Posted June 1, 2013 (edited) Biggest thing anticipated in the 2013 Nano Refresh is the open-able boot........................ Another June launch contender.Paves way for the CNG , Diesel variant. Seems open-able boot is left for 2014 iteration as I could not see the hinges in 2013. Are you sure on June diesel launch?, if so I am already very excited. Edited June 1, 2013 by creativebala
librankur 39 Report post Posted June 3, 2013 Diesel comes in last . First its the Refresh , then the CNG , a June end launch is been hopefully aimed at, if all things go their way.
librankur 39 Report post Posted June 6, 2013 Here is some launch related news : Tata is expected to launch reworked Indigo eCS, Sumo Gold and the 2013 Nano models sometime during the third week of June 2013
PrancingHorse 1 Report post Posted June 20, 2013 Tata has announced the 2013 Nano which includes a CNG model as well. Here are important points: The 2013 Tata Nano can be easily identified thanks to the chrome strip on the front bonnet. The new blue color is a talking point as well. The rear of the Nano gets a new bumper with some vents while an additional chrome strip takes shape across the car. Inside, the 2013 Nano gets a few updates. A new ‘Amphistream’ music system is the talking point with respect to features. The 4 speakers of the car also get their bezels in a body color now. You also get Bluetooth, USB and AUX-in. The parcel shelf also comes with integrated speakers now. The Hazard lights switch has been relocated. The seats of the car get new fabrics while a new glovebox is also seen. The front power window switches are moved ahead of the driver while the gear lever is slightly relocated for better ergonomics. Also comes with keyless entry. Tata say the 2013 Nano has ‘Easy Steer Technology’. It should be easier to drive inside the city, not to mention taking 3-point turns and parking. This is NOT a Power Steering unit though. Tata say that the steering and the suspension of the Nano has been tweaked for easiest steering and maneuverability among non-power steering cars. PrancingHorse 1 Report post Posted June 20, 2013 The 2013 Tata Nano emax is the CNG powered version of the Nano. The CNG powered cars from Tata Motors have the ‘emax’ suffix to them. Apart from the Nano, Tata also launched the 2013 Indigo eCS and the 2013 Indica eV2 in CNG avatars. The rear of the car sees the ‘emax’ logo. This is the only giveaway. While the display car had some body graphics on the side, we don’t if Tata would feature that on the production variant. Inside, you get a button to switch ON and OFF the CNG. This is not the only change. If you notice carefully, the speedometer of the EMAX Nano has a green surround to it. This is not so in the normal Nano. The Nano EMAX has a 32-liter CNG tank. It promises a fuel efficiency of 36km/kg and a combined range of 400km. Tata claims a very low CO2 emission of only 75g per km, making the Nano EMAX possibly India’s greenest non-electric car Source: Indianautosblog
