A modern product from Enfield still a distant dream

Recommended Posts

There are lot of similarities between the British legands Enfield, Norton and Triumph, each of them made classic motorcycles, one of them that is Norton, which has been phased out, Royal Enfield still makes those classic bikes and lastly Triumph is a company which now builds modern motorcycles but still sells the classic Bonneville, set aside Norton, when you closely look over the chronological evolution of Triumph, you can see how it balanced both worlds of classic charm and modern ergonomics, will Royal Enfield ever produce a modern motorbike like Triumph Tiger or Speed Triple? Or will they keep on selling classic thumping cruisers? Though we have Enfield Café Racer launch around, it is still not a model to be classified as modern, who knows in the coming future we might see a middle weight 650cc sports bike or a 500cc adventure motorcycle, anything happens, but it would be exciting and thrilling as an Enfield.

Continental GT still uses a big block single cylinder engine unlike the others, even cruisers come with twin cylinder cam engines then why not Enfield, there are plenty of Enfield enthusiats around who have been seen converting their Bullet 350s into 700cc twin cylinder monster. Then why not Enfield.
