dr_nishu 198 Report post Posted May 19, 2013 Mandating ABS in CVs is really a good move. But prior to this focus should be made on improving the standards of their build pattern first, which includes the better integration of their Body frame(including loading area) with the ladder chassis. Factory based construction methods should be used than traditional methods which includes the use of wooden planks as filling materials. So, if Safety is the priority then why not to start with basics first.
BHP-junkie 2 Report post Posted May 20, 2013 That's a good news. Hope it will come as a mandatory feature in passenger vehicles also. Most countries in the west have this feature a default or mandatory for all vehicles. Hope for the best
Amish993 8 Report post Posted June 21, 2013 Nearly half of the fatal accidents are caused due to drivers losing control over their commercial vehicles, ABS should sort that out, it would atleast cut short the impact of crash to say the least.
rahul0811 0 Report post Posted April 3, 2017 Hi.. This safety feature has evolved considerably in four-wheelers in the past decade. Modern Anti-Lock-Braking system not only prevents wheel locking but also controls the front-to-rear brake electronically. ABS generally improves vehicle stoppage distance on dry and slippery surfaces, and at the same time, it can significantly improve braking distance on loose surfaces like snow-covered areas or gravel, along with improved vehicle control. jagdishsingh 1 Report post Posted December 4, 2020 ABS is very helpful when car is being driven for long routes. I was just saved because of ABS in my previous trip to Nainital.
