Pics: Ssangyong Korando facelift caught testing in Korea

Recommended Posts

Here are pics of the facelifted SsangYong Korando spotted testing in Korea. The Ssangyong Korando, a compact five seater SUV that’s positioned in the C Segment. The front fascia is fully camouflaged doesnt give a clue about the changes and it also suggests the face could have a comprehensive makeover. The headlamp elements are all new and feature projector bulbs that are surrounded by turn indicators and LED daytime running lights.

The Korando is powered by 2.0 litre petrol and diesel engines. The petrol motor develops 149PS while the oil burner is available in two states – 149PS and 175PS. Engines are paired to 6-speed manual or automatic transmissions.

The Korando might be the next from Ssangyong to come to India.

Surely an interesting offering if it comes to India...but I would not be surprised if M&M takes some clue from this and makes an XUV 5 seater version for Indian market to compete with Duster/EcoSport duo. They may plant their Quato 100 PS engine in it which will do the duty properly in the would be XUV 3oo.

The third-gen SsangYong Korando is on display at the Geneva motor show! It is underpinned by a modified version of the platform that also underpins the SsangYong Tivoli SUV. The front does bear some resemblance to to the G4 Rexton.

Inside, the dashboard is dominated by a 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen while there’s a 9.0-inch digital instrument cluster too. As for safety, the SUV comes with a range of safety features such as auto emergency braking (AEB), Lane Keep Assist, intelligent adaptive cruise control, Driver Attention Alert (DAA), and “Safety Distance Alert,” which is SsangYong’s version of a forward collision warning.

Check it out in this walkaround:
