Spy pics: Next gen Hyundai i20 EDIT Now in India too

Recommended Posts

Well the next i10 has been spotted testing all over including India but here are pics of another Hyundai Prototype hatch testing in Korea. Its longer than the i10 for sure. That brings a thought to mind. Could this be the next generation i20 that has already started testing. It could be possible. Anyways here are the pictures.

This is the much speculated i15 which is to be launched in sept this year . I am really excited to see this car because it fits in btw i10 and i20. It will also have the 1.1lt crdi engine and I expect a 800cc turbo petrol along with it .

This might be the 2013 i10 , the longer wheel base is attributed to the extended wheel base , based on the Kia Picanto platform, made FLUIDIC

The icing on the cake is that they say it will even come with a 1.1 L Diesel.

Both i10s (new being tested and this extended wheelbase one) will be sold together in India so the i15 badging looks apt owing to the equipment levels and its increased pricing. Also a CS would be based of this very platform arriving later.

To be first seen at the Frankfurt motor show in September 2013.Indian launch sometime in the festive season.

This seems to be new i20 as grand i10 took the space in which i15 could possibly fit. It may be just a simple facelift as the car is already 3995m long so there is no need to build a new car with same dimensions.

This could be the i20 grand because the i10 is also facelifted only. And then the big change, The grand i10 came. :P

yaa maybe but I20 is originally an old car and I10 was designed in India so maybe this can be something different. let us see what will happen

Its too big to be a i10!! So yes, maybe the i15 or the new i20!!

lol, bit I think it is the new I20 as it is now old. By old I mean that it had got only facelift and still an old car under its skin

I agree, the current i20 is still and old car under the skin. It would be nice to see the i20 getting a major facelift.

That looks good! From the side looks like the polo. This could be the i15 or i20. :)

And yes, the side profile is somewhat similar to that of the VW Polo.

A fleet of i20 test mules have been spotted doing winter testing in Europe. The car looks bigger than the current car for sure with muscular wheel arches et all. While one picture is of a car with wheel caps, the other shows the alloys design and looks nice for sure. The new i20 should launch later this year according to the source so I guess it can be expected in India end of this year or early 2015

Here are the pics

From the interior pic the rear seats are more reclined and the window line is lower and its nice to see that they have included bottle holder in door. Love the diamond cut alloys drool worthy.

This is large for a i20-based premium hatchback.

Larger means large on dimensions as well as large on budget/initial costs as well.

Being based on i20 & being an improved next-gen avatar of it & going as per hyundai's pricing past trends, i expect this car to be atleast-alteast 60-80k expensive than current i20.

However, one can expect a leap ahead in styling as well as equipment for this new upcoming large premium hatchback.
